Former WWE and TNA star Zach Gowen does America Ninja Warrior

Former WWE and TNA wrestler Zach Gowen took part in NBC’s American Ninja Warrior yesterday in the Indianapolis qualifying run.

Gowen showed up with his prosthetic leg but removed it before he started the difficult obstacle course. He managed to do the first two parts of the course which is obviously not built for anyone with one leg, with the announcers clearly behind the #OneLeggedWarrior. Other athletes had tried and did not even manage to get where Gowen arrived. However the third part of the course was deemed to difficult and he did not have enough momentum to skip from the first ring to the middle one.

Zach got famous when in 2003 he signed with the WWE after a short stint with TNA. He got attacked by Roddy Piper and Sean O’Haire after he tried to save Hulk Hogan who was under the Mr. America mask. Perhaps the most famous, and jaw-dropping, moment for him came when Brock Lesnar viciously attacked Gowen and threw him down a flight of stairs on Smackdown.

You can see Gowen’s attempt on America Ninja Warrior below.

Monday Night Raw TV report for 06/13/2016

Monday Night Raw TV Report for June 13th, 2016

Introduction Segment: Video Promo and In Memoriam

The regular Raw video plays, then we go live to the arena. The roster is out on stage, with the Titantron displaying “We Stand With Orlando” and a ribbon with a combination of rainbow and the United States Flag colors, remembering yesterday’s tragedy. Lillian Garcia requests that everyone stand for a moment of silence.

Segment #2: Arena Promo

Tag-Team Champions The New Day talk about their Fatal-4-Way Tag-Team Championship Match at Money In The Bank this Sunday. Before Kofi can continue, Xavier and Big E. poke fun at his shoes, which they think are “old people” footwear.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass interrupt with their usual intro. After declaring that they will win the Tag Tiles at M.I.T.B., Cass insinuates that the unicorns on their head are used for something else, and also wonders about Kofi’s shoes. He goes on about Francesca – Xavier’s Trombone – saying that Amore had her “out all night.”

The double-entendres continue until The Vaudevillians stop them. Aiden English and Simon Gotch are not fond of these, but English does like singing out (very-well) that they will be the new Tag-Team Champions!

The last team involved – The Club – join. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows make their presence known and want to get started now!

Commercials.

Match #1: Eight-Man Tag-Team – Tag-Team Champions The New Day (Big E. and Kofi Kingston) (with Tag-Team Champion/New Day partner Xavier Woods) and Enzo and Cass VS. The Vaudevillians (Simon Gotch and Aiden English) and The Club (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows)

Aiden and Kofi are wrestling, with Aiden monkey-flipping Kofi, who lands on his feet and hurricanranas English. Kingston backdrops Simon, and Big E. is in to work over Gotch, who is “unicorn-stomped” in the corner.

Enzo is tagged in but is quickly controlled by Gotch and company. He reverses on Aiden, and makes the hot-tag to Cass, who cleans house with E! Kofi somersaults over the ropes onto English and Gotch!

Ads.

Big has Gotch locked in an abdominal stretch and “rhythmically spanking” (thanks, Dad!) him! Simon soon regains and gets Luke to help; he and Anderson work over E in their corner. Kofi is tagged back in a bit later and clears the ring. he almost takes this on Karl, but Gallows tagged in and boots, then he and Anderson finish with their double-team ending. Luke covers for the victory!

Winners via Pinfall: The Vaudevillians and The Club

Later tonight, there will be a contract signing between A.J. Styles and John Cena; and The Shield reunite – in a way – as WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and his challenger Seth Rollins will be on their former partner Dean Ambrose’s show, “The Ambrose Asylum.”

Segment #5: Video Promo

Primo and Epico – The Shining Stars – continue to promote Puerto Rico.

Segment #6: Arena Promo

Dean Ambrose asks for his former friends to come out; first is Seth Rollins, then WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns. All three recall the good times they had, but Seth then turns it into when he decided to quit The Shield and become a big superstar on his own. Reigns puts it back to Rollins that he did not accomplish anything on his own, as he had the help of The Authority, and J & J Security. Seth does put over Reigns’ instead of Ambrose, since Roman defeated Dean, Sheamus, and Triple H to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion, three times; but Rollins says Roman still hasn’t beat him.

Seth walks away but then pushes Dean into Roman; he goes for the Pedigree on Reigns but instead is hit by Ambrose, and then with a Superman Punch from Roman. Dean suddenly spins Reigns around and drives him to the mat with his Dirty Deeds DDT!

Segment #7: Backstage Promo

Stephanie is not pleased with how Dean Ambrose conducted The Shield’s reunion, so she books him to wrestle Chris Jericho tonight.

Match #2: Single – Women’s Champion Charlotte (with Dana Brooke) VS. Paige (Non-Title)

(Note: Natalya and Becky Lynch are on commentary.) This is fast-and-furious, as Paige and Charlotte trade holds and pin combos back-and-forth! Paige governs a lot of this, and when Charlotte is on the outside and distracted, Dana tries to interfere but is doesn’t work! Paige lifts Charlotte up and Ram-Paige DDT’s her, getting the 1 – 2 – 3!

Match #3: Single – Zack Ryder VS. Sheamus

Zack governs a lot of this, almost taking it following a top-turnbuckle elbow drop! Ryder measures for the RoughRyder, but Sheamus tosses him into the turnbuckle then hits a Brogue Kick to take this!

Winner via Pinfall: Sheamus

Post-match, Sheamus continues to kick away on Ryder until Apollo Crews, who Sheamus will face at the MITB kick-off shows, runs out and brawls with Sheamus!

Commercials.

Segment #9: Office Promo

Shane and Kane are talking about their history when Kevin Owens walks in. He wants to talk to Stephanie, but she isn’t available, so he rats out Alberto Del Rio for being late. Del Rio barges in, and he and Owens yell in Spanish and French, respectively. Kane tries to settle this by having them tag together against The Lucha Dragons; while they don’t like it, Shane does, and adds that if they lose, then Sin Cara and Kalisto will take their MITB spots instead!

Match #4: Single – Sami Zayn VS. Cesaro

Cesaro and Zayn lockup and trade armlocks. Sami flips over Cesaro and twirls him with a headscissors. Cesaro catches Zayn off a run with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a near-fall, then uppercuts him as Zayn springs off the rope!

Ads.

Cesaro has Zayn clamped in a hold, but Sami snapmares out of it and soars off the turnbuckle with a crossbody for two! Cesaro uppercuts Zayn a few times, then sweeps him up and double-stomps for a very-close one (Zayn looked like he forgot to kick out!) Sami catches a running Cesaro into a Michinoku-Driver, then drags him closer to the corner.

Zayn ascends but Cesaro enziguris and suplexes! Cesaro sets up for the Neutralizer, but Zayn flips out of it and tries the Blue Thunder Bomb; Cesaro gets out of that, but lands on his back after Sami flips over-and-up Cesaro, then into a sunset-flip-powerbomb for the 1 – 2 – 3!

Winner via Pinfall: Sami Zayn

Post-match, the two stare at each other and the briefcase.

Up next, A.J. Styles’ and John Cena’s contract signing!

Commercials.

Segment #10: Arena Promo

Michael Cole brings out John Cena first; he addresses the fans about Money In The Bank and A.J. Styles. He gives “The Phenomenal One” credit for his championships that he’s won across many wrestling promotions in the last fifteen years, and asks him to come out. Styles obliges and mocks Cena, but John dresses him down for not committing to one-on-one like so many people have wanted to see for the last fifteen years to prove who is “the best.”

A.J. retorts that if he was in WWE fifteen years ago, then Cena would not be where he is now! Cena offers two different contracts; one is just A.J. Styles VS. John Cena, and one is John Cena VS. A.J. Styles (w/ The Club). Cena demands Styles to “man-up” and prove that he can without help. Again, A.J. obliges and signs the paper without The Club’s name on it; they have agreed to a strictly one-on-one match at Money In The Bank!

Ads.

Match #5: Tag-Team – Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens VS. The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto)

(Stipulation: If Del Rio and Owens do not win, they will be replaced in M.I.T.B. with The Lucha Dragons.)

Alberto is aggressive right away on Kalisto, hanging him upside down in the corner and pounding away with kicks and punches. Owens orders him to stop so they don’t get disqualified, and then they switch. Kevin and Del Rio continue to play games with each other, until The Luchas double-dive through the ropes onto them to the floor!

Commercials.

Kalisto is perched on the top turnbuckle and soars off with a seated-senton to Alberto! He is quickly taken over, and Owens and Alberto dominate, albeit not cohesively. Del Rio shoves Owens to the outside, but eats Solida-Del-Sol right after! Alberto rolls to the floor, but Kevin puts him back in the ring to avoid the count-out.

Cara capitalizes with a Senton-Bomb, but Kevin breaks up the pin. Both Del Rio and Kalisto are hurled into the barricade, and Owens drives Sin to the canvas with his Pop-Up Powerbomb to retain their spots in MITB!

Winners via Pinfall: Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens

Post-match, Alberto smacks Kevin with a kick to his face!

Segment #11: Video Promo

Intercontinental Champion The Miz is on Facebook and says that he is working hard on his movie, “The Marine 5.”

Segment #12: Backstage Promo

Stephanie is fine with Kevin Owens being on commentary, since Sami Zayn is courtesy of Shane.

Ads.

Segment #13: Office Promo

Steph and Shane keep quarreling over running Raw and Smackdown!. They decide that Kane is not fit to be the one to do so, and Kane walks in, overhearing. He wonders from Shane if it had to do with that “cables to the testicles thing,” which Shane implies that had an effect on his decision. Kane walks away, and then Shane and Steph make Cesaro a ring announcer and Alberto a timekeeper for Jericho and Ambrose’s main-event match!

It is announced that Sami, Dean, and Cesaro will wrestle Jericho, Owens, and Del Rio this week on Smackdown!

Cesaro announces Chris Jericho for the main-event, next!

Commercials.

Match #6: Single – Chris Jericho VS. Dean Ambrose

Dean punches away on Jericho, but Chris chops back. He goes to the apron, but Dean hits him to the floor and follows with a dive through the ropes! Ambrose rips the headphones off Kevin Owens, but is chucked into the barricade by Jericho.

In the ring, Jericho tries Walls of Jericho, but Ambrose twists out of it. Chris dropkicks Dean to the floor, and Sami, Del Rio, Owens, and Cesaro faceoff!

Commercials.

Jericho and Ambrose go back-and-forth for a bit; Chris tries a move from the top turnbuckle, but Dean tosses him off. He dives, but Jericho traps him in the Walls of Jericho instead, but Ambrose manages to get to the bottom rope for a break! Jericho runs but gets a clothesline! “The Lunatic Fringe” climbs the turnbuckle again and kicks Jericho away; he subsequently dives with a standing-elbow for two!

Jericho and Dean roll through each other’s moves, and Dean finally plants Jericho with his Dirty Deeds DDT to get the victory!

Winner via Pinfall: Dean Ambrose

Post-match, all six men in the Money In The Bank Ladder match fight, and Jericho is left alone to climb the ladder and unleash the briefcase, symbolizing a potential victory this Sunday, to close the show!

End of Raw.

Billy Corgan buying minority stake in TNA Wrestling

PWInsider.com is reporting – citing multiple sources – that Billy Corgan is in the final stages of purchasing a minority stake in TNA Wrestling.

The 49 year old frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins currently holds the position of Senior Producer of Creative and Talent Development for TNA, a position he held since joining the company in mid 2015.

Corgan’s stake will not change the major decisions as it relates to TNA business as Dixie Carter still holds the majority, however he will have a bigger say than he currently does. PWInsider did not say what percentage of the company he bought.

Billy Corgan is a life-long wrestling fan and in 2011 he founded Resistance Pro Wrestling, an indie wrestling group based in Chicago.

TNA has been in big financial problems for quite a while and recently the company has been looking for an injection of cash to keep it floating.

Jeff Hardy plans to one-up McMahon’s HIAC cage jump tonight at Slammiversary

In an interview with Sports Illustrated’s website SI.COM, Jeff Hardy said that he has something big planned for tonight’s match against his brother Matt at Slammiversary and plans to out-perform Shane McMahon’s jump from the top of the Hell In A Cell cage at WrestleMania 32.

“Watching Shane, I knew I could top that,” said Hardy. “Every time I watched Shane, I was inspired to do something better. I’m planning something big for Sunday. I’ll take my own path and do it my own way.”

Jeff said that he still thinks that Mick Foley’s leap from the top of the HIAC match against the Undertaker is the best he’s ever seen and thinks it’s not possible to top but plans to give it a shot anyway and see how far his 38 year old body can go.

“This Sunday at Slammiversary, you’re going to see me put in a WrestleMania performance,” Jeff added. “So what if it’s in front of 2,500 people instead of 100,000? I don’t care. It’s all about the moment. That camera is going to be on, and it’s going to become a professional wrestling memory. That’s really important to me – creating moments that last forever.”

End of Smackdown!

Reporter’s Rumblings

Raw was so much better than Smackdown! this week – mainly wrestling-wise and a bit storyline-wise. I’m liking most of the angles, it’s just the way Raw was put together versus how Smackdown! turned out that put Raw above. Onto the particulars of why:

Excellence: Promos from Money In The Bank wrestlers (Raw and Smackdown!), Teddy Long (Raw), Seth Rollins’/Roman Reigns’ videos (Raw), John Cena (Raw), The Club (Raw and Smackdown!), and Enzo and Big Cass (Raw and Smackdown!)

Matches between all six M.I.T.B. wrestlers (Raw and Smackdown!), Swagger/Rusev (Raw), Vaudevillians/Cass and Enzo (Raw), The Club/Enzo and Cass (Smackdown!), Becky and Dana (Smackdown!), and Kalisto/Corbin (Smackdown!)

Both video highlights and speeches from Rollins and Reigns were very well-done – although Seth’s talking was better – and really put meaning into this feud. I truly care and am not sure who’s going to win; that’s a good thing!

Same as above for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match; I don’t know (although I’d like Dean to win and have a full-circle Shield feud for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship through SummerSlam) who’s going to win, as I can really see any of them being legit since it’s a one-year contract.

Vaudevillians and Enzo/Cass’s rivalry is heating up nicely and very old-school over wrestling and each other! Again, can see any of the four teams walking out with the Tag-Team Championships!

Cena/Styles had great points and Styles is really good at being a little cocky/arrogant/comedic!

Bogus: while I like the feud between Titus and Rusev, I actually wish Swagger had won the U.S. Title on Raw, for a home-state pop/surprise, and I think the three of them would mix well together.

Do not care about The Shining Stars (one match and they’re back to video promos?) or Breezango/Golden Truth. Also, Corbin defeated Ziggler at the Extreme Rules kickoff; that should’ve been the end of their feud!

Dana’s having great wresting matches, but losing! I don’t like this; she needs wins to be credible and not just Charlotte’s lacky.

Could’ve done without the numerous Jericho/Ambrose recalls.

To end of on a sad but special note, the tribute videos to Muhammad Ali were very nice and commendable. May God rest his soul, and provide love and support to his family, friends, and fans at this time.

Smackdown rating 06/09/2016

Smackdown has dropped below two million viewers for the first time in a long, long time with this week’s show pulling 1,996,000 viewers, losing 173,000 viewers from last week’s show. American Grit, the reality show with John Cena as host on FOX did 2,113,000 viewers for its season finale, beating Smackdown for the first time. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)

Tampa Bay Times is reporting that Gawker’s motion to postpone the $140 million judgment against them pending a review from an appeals court has been granted by a judge today in another hearing. Shares from the company will be used as a security instead.

Meanwhile, Gawker has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy following the case and is being held up in auction according to the Wall Street Journal. The auction will begin with an opening bid of $100 million. If you want to get help with car repossession case, then visit us today. In full Service bankruptcy work, the service of the non-lawyer debt relief agent or agency basically involves their staff gathering the various documents and required tons of papers and information together, and orderly arranging them and preparing all the legal forms and paperwork required by the debtor to file for bankruptcy with the bankruptcy court. For the better ones among them (they are not at all equal, some are far better than others, and quite a number of them are just about worthless!), these agencies use workers who are often highly trained and experienced paralegals (they average several years of work and/or training in the industry), and who are skilled at the preparation of legal documents and bankruptcy papers, and are often well versed and knowledgeable in bankruptcy filing law and procedures. With the Full Service bankruptcy petition preparers (at least those of them who are of the reputable and better categories), the debtor tends generally to get a better service and greater attention, and more one-on-one interaction for his or her case, along with the obvious far lower prices.

The two defendants, AJ Daulerio, who wrote the original Hogan sex tape post, and Nick Denton, CEO of Gawker Media, cannot afford to pay that amount of money so their shares in the company were pledged. Daulerio has 6,000 shares while Denton has 45 million shares according to the Tampa Bay Times. Under the current U.S. Bankruptcy Code or law, the system provides essentially TWO basic categories of outside assistance that a debtor filing for bankruptcy may use – assistance provided by an attorney, and assistance provided by a non-lawyer. And both of these parties come under what is called “Debt Relief Agents or Agencies.” Basically, the non-attorney assistance provider, who also goes by a name such as Bankruptcy Petition Preparer (BPP), preparers the documents upon which bankruptcy is filed with the Court for bankruptcy processing, while the attorney (or, more accurately, the help he hires that does such work) prepares the same set of documents, EXCEPT that the lawyer assistance-provider can supposedly give a debtor “legal advice,” and can appear, on the debtor’s behalf, in the administrative hearing on the bankruptcy case administered by the Court “Trustee” (who is not a Judge, but a court-appointed administrator) that will oversee the bankruptcy case. But what are the Costs of filing Bankruptcy using Bankruptcy attorney? Can debtors afford bankruptcy without lawyers? And, is there really any real, tangible, legitimate difference for the DEBTOR, both qualitatively and nominally, between the Full Service bankruptcy assistance that online-based non-attorney BPP agencies provide debtors, and that which is provided by online bankruptcy attorneys to debtors? One view of it, popular in certain quarters among non-attorney online providers of bankruptcy filing assistance, is simply that there is “no difference,” or “little to none,” in terms of the actual or qualitative value of their work products for the debtor. The principal argument is that for each side, the actual, principal work that each side does or turns up for the debtor – the relatively simple but time-consuming, paperwork required to be prepared for the debtor’s use in filing for bankruptcy – is more or less basically the same content and quality for the non-lawyer prepared document, as it is for the lawyer prepared. In each case, the argument goes, the same set of documents are turned up by people who are seemingly experienced and trained or skilled in document preparation, and, in deed, in many real instances, are one and the same paralegals who work, or might have previously worked, for the bankruptcy lawyer’s office or the non-lawyer document preparer’s company. Or for both.
