Bobby Roode debuts at NXT event at Download Festival in the UK

NXT just delivered its first surprised in the United Kingdom as Bobby Roode made his NXT in-ring debut today during the live event at Download Festival, defeating Angelo Dawkins.

Several weeks ago the WWE UK Twitter account spilled the beans that Roode had been added to the NXT tour but the tweet was then quickly deleted as there was no official announcement that the former TNA champion had signed a deal yet.

Roode first showed up at NXT Takeover: Dallas prior to the main event and WWE acknowledged him on camera and then last week he was shown entering the office of NXT General Manager William Regal during a backstage segment at NXT Takeover: The End.

He won every TNA title you can imagine during his 12 year career with TNA including the TNA World title twice. You can see a video of his NXT debut below.
