Monday Night Raw TV report for 01/23/2023

Out first Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart, who welcomed us to the 30 years of Monday Night Raw.

Out next Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. In the ring a table and chairs are set up and the crowd cheering for Sami. Roman, The Usos and Sami Zayn sit at the table and Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman remain standing. Paul gets the microphone as the fans chant “ECW”, and he says ECW was dead and he wished the same for Sami Zayn. Paul accuses Sami of being a conspirator with Kevin Owens from day one.

Paul then has his evidence played and he shows Sami running away as Drew McIntyre jumped The Usos. Sami unwilling to hit Owens with a chair and Jey lost to Owens. Sami on top of the cage while the rest of the Bloodline are in the ring. Sami hit Roman on the shoulder as he was talking on the microphone on Raw in December.

Paul then begs everyone to find him guilty as charged and then drops a microphone in Sami’s lap and Paul gets another microphone and says the prosecution rests.

Sami said he had a defense planned but he didn’t know how he would feel when he came out here and he said it hurts. Sami says his defense is he has no defense. Roman says you have too much ego to even fight for this and this is the respect you show me. He yelled for Solo and as Solo goes to give Sami the Samoan Spike, Jey Uso stopped him and says no disrespect, he put his own footage together last night. He shows where Sami has helped the Usos. And where Sami took a spear from Drew McIntyre allowing Roman to hit Drew with a superman punch. Sami stopped the referee from counting to three and then low blowing Owens.

Jey says everyone knows I didn’t trust you and I despised you but you have seen the good in me all along. And that demonstrates loyalty. And Jey tells Sami he loves him like a brother. Roman stands up and says as the Tribal Chief he finds Sami not guilty…for now. Roman tells Sami to go out and make the Bloodline proud tonight then he doesn’t want to see him until Saturday and that will be his final test.

The Usos VS. Dominik Mysterio & Damian Priest for the Raw Tag Team Championship

Finn Balor gets caught causing Jey to fall on the top rope. Jimmy Uso hurts his knee after diving over the top rope onto the floor, the referee calls for help and Adam Pearce comes out and says if you cannot continue you must forfeit the match and the titles and Sami said no, no, no if Jimmy Uso is down, Sami Uso is good to go and Pearce said I did it for Judgment Day I will do it for you, Sami you are in. Jey superkicks both Dominik and Damian and Rhea gets in the ring and teases him to kick her. Dominik hits 619 and the frog splash but Sami saves the match at the 2 count. Jey and Sami hit 1 D and Sami makes the cover and gets the win for the champions.

Winners and Still Raw Tag Team Champions: Jey Uso & Sami Zayn (For Jimmy Uso)

JBL and Baron Corbin walk in the back and ran into the Godfather and Godfather asked JBL who the stooge was he had with him. JBL asks to talk to the owner of the place to have Corbin in the poker game and Godfather knocked and Ron Simmons comes out and hugs Godfather and JBL and asked JBL who the stooge was. He then let him in.

L.A. Knight is out next and challenges anyone of the legends to come out. The Undertaker’s music hit. Then the music switches to the American Badass and Undertaker comes out on his motorcycle. Knight then says that’s enough of that now cut that music. Knight tells him he is giving him a pass tonight but wants the Undertaker to watch the dark match at Royal Rumble. The lights go out and Bray Wyatt appears and Knight backs back toward the ring. Knight rolls in the ring and walks into a choke hold from the Undertaker. Taker then looks at Wyatt and shoves Knight to Wyatt who gives Knight a sister Abigail and a stare down and Taker walks over and whispers something in Wyatt’s ear and Taker leaves the ring.

In the back Corbin made it to a poker table with DDP, Alpha Academy and Alundra Blayze.

The Steel Cage is being lowered for the next match.

Bayley VS. Becky Lynch in a steel cage match

Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai who did not come out with Bayley attack Becky before she could get in the cage. They then threw Becky into the cage and all three ladies continued to punish Becky while Dakota locked the cage from the inside. Adam Pearce comes out screaming, trying to get into the cage and yells for bolt cutters. Damage Control continued to beat down Becky as Pearce finally gets the chain cut and gets in the ring. Damage Control climb to the top of the cage.

Winner: No contest

Degeneration X is out next, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, X-Pac, Road Dogg along with Kurt Angle.

Road Dogg begins, and he stopped and said to Kurt what are you doing out here, and Kurt said he always wanted to be in DX. As Triple H was doing his Let’s get ready to… he is interrupted by Imperium. Gunther says he is there to kick them out of their ring unless any of them are going to do something about it and Triple H said I am retired dude. HBK says he is too old. X-Pac says he has a bad case of shin splints and Road Dogg starts and says oh who am I kidding I am not going to fight him. Triple H says Kurt will fight you and Kurt says no, no I won’t, and Triple H says I wish there was some one that would want to come out and fight you guys and Seth “Freakin” Rollins comes out.

X-Pac says but there is one of him and three of them, if only there was a team that would come out and even the score. The Street Profits are on their way to the ring. And Road Dogg says now what and Triple H says why does everyone always look at me you know this booking stuff isn’t easy if only someone could come out and make some sense out of this mess and Teddy Long comes out and makes the six man tag team referee and HBK says we need someone that can keep this under control. Kurt then says he has an idea and takes off his shirt and he has a referee’s shirt on.

Imperium VS. The Street Profits & Seth “Freakin” Rollins with Kurt Angle special Referee and Jerry the King Lawler on commentary

After a splash by Ford, Rollins hit the stomp on Vinci for the win.

Winners: Seth “Freakin” Rollins & The Street Profits

JBL and Corbin were starting to celebrate winning the poker game with The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase when IRS arrives and says don’t forget to pay your taxes and Corbin asked “All of it?” IRS handed him $100 and said here you earned that and DiBiase comes back in and says everyone has a price which leads to Ron Simmons coming up to them looking around and says “DAMN”

Bobby Lashley is interviewed about his match with Theory tonight. And Bobby said Theory can’t retain his title tonight by getting disqualified and he won’t get disqualified for what he is going to do to Theory tonight. MVP comes in and Bobby tells MVP he didn’t need his help or Omos’ help to become #1 contender and let him handle his business tonight.

Next out the Nature Boy Ric Flair who introduces the Smackdown Women’s champion Charlotte Flair. Bianca Belair comes out. Bianca says this is her show. Sonya Deville comes out. Charlotte suggests Bianca take on Sonya tonight.

Bianca Belair VS. Sonya Deville

Bianca hits the KOD for the win.

The Miz is out next and complains about not having MizTV or championship match and Kevin Owens comes in and gives The Miz a Stunner. Owens then says Roman you may have called Sami Zayn not guilty but you are guilty of holding the Universal Championship hostage for over 2 years now and he will do everything he can on Saturday to take the title back so the fans can have a champion they can be proud of or die trying. The Miz gets up and Owens hits him with another stunner.

Austin Theory VS. Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship in a No Disqualification match.

With both down in the ring, Brock Lesnar comes to the ring. F5 to Lashley, F5 to Theory who falls on top of Lashley.
