Three weeks of QR codes and mysteries: the White Rabbit timeline

WWE logo

When WWE started playing the song White Rabbit from American rock band Jefferson Airplane out of the blue in mid-September, fans inside arenas were left wondering what was going on.

At non-televised live events and even at TV shows, in between breaks, WWE would turn off the house lights, play the song, and then end it with red light covering the ring.

Then on the September 19 Raw, the first hint was given. A QR code appeared which led to a white rabbit playing a game of Hangman. The question of the Hangman game was “Who Killed The World?” The rabbit then jumped on the alphabet until he guessed the correct answer which was “You Did.” The game ended with “Come With Me” and “9:23” flashing on the screen. Interesting to note is that when the rabbit was playing the game, the first letters he hopped on spelled DEMON.

On the September 23 Smackdown, the clues continued. The scanned QR code led to yet another teaser, a maze game where you had to lead a white rabbit to a door. When completing the game, the word Patricide and coordinates 53°32’49.5″N, 113°29’51.3″W showed up. Those were the coordinates of the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the site of the following week’s Raw.

The clues on the September 26 Raw revealed more details. The QR code went to a Tik Tok video from the account @_comewithme. The video showed several old WWE footage spliced together with WWE Superstars saying “Who killed the world? You did” and “Feed your head.” The video ended with the numbers 40701, a ZIP code located in southeast Kentucky, more specifically Corbin, Kentucky where there’s a hotel named Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The WWE.COM page which led to the video also had some interesting “Easter eggs” in the source code, with “No man is ever truly good” and “no man is ever truly evil” embedded. Those two sentences are the opening lyrics of Aleister Black’s old NXT theme song Root of All Evil by CFO$.

More Bray Wyatt hints were revealed on the September 30 Smackdown. The new QR code featured several cartoon shots of Porky Pig, Little Red Riding Hood wolf, a slaughterhouse, a morse code and also an audio message. The choice of 1911 in the URL was interesting because Bray Wyatt wore a hat with a 19/11 card on it when he portrayed the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland in a skit a few years back on WWE television. The morse code which was translated by several users on Twitter translates to Azazel Reborn. The audio message is heard if you dialed the phone number which was embedded in the source code of the page. The message is played backwards and says Bravo, Echo, Lima, Alpha, India, Romeo. Interesting to note is that one Twitter user raised the pitch by six times on the video and it’s clearly Bray Wyatt’s voice narrating the message. Someone carrying a sign which read “REVEL IN WHAT YOU ARE” was shown when the camera was on Smackdown commentators Michael Cole and Corey Graves. That exact wording was used by Wyatt in a tweet in 2019.

Raw on October 3 featured new clues. The WWE.COM page hosting the clue had a photo of the Samson and Delilah painting. Scrolling over with the mouse on the photo, the left side reveals “399012n” and opening it up on a mobile device, the other side reveals “751720w.” Those represent the coordinates of the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at 39.9012° N, 75.1720° W. Bray Wyatt had posted a similar photo of Samson and Delilah after Bliss turned on him before he vanished from WWE television the last time around.

While WWE can pull a fast one and it might not end up Bray Wyatt after all, everything points towards his return. The tattoo artist who came up with the initial concept of The Fiend’s mask, Kyle A. Scarborough, uploaded a photo on Twitter of a white rabbit mask a few weeks ago, writing the words, “feed your head,” adding more speculation that this is for Wyatt’s return.

Whatever the case might be, this might all come to an end tonight with the reveal of the White Rabbit, a three-week angle of QR codes, mystery clues, and a whole army of wrestling fans playing detectives uncovering the meanings behind all the good madness!

Nigel McGuinness released from WWE

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE has released Nigel McGuinness after six years with the company.

The 46-year-old, who signed with WWE in 2016, was originally brought in to do commentary for the NXT UK brand, starting with the United Kingdom Championship Tournament. He eventually went on to do commentary for NXT, 205 Live, and Main Event as well but lately, following the closure of NXT UK, he was tasked with doing commentary for NXT Level Up.

McGuinness’ name was absent from the commentary changes that were published by WWE ahead of the season premieres of Smackdown and Raw.

Jon Moxley extends AEW deal by five more years

All Elite Wrestling announced that Jon Moxley, its current World champion, has signed a five-year extension and will remain with the promotion through 2027.

The press release states that moving forward, Moxley will work exclusively for AEW and its international partners including New Japan Pro Wrestling, suggesting that he won’t be doing any more independent dates.

As part of his new deal, Moxley will also expand his roles within AEW which will include coaching and mentoring.

“Jon Moxley is on the best run of his already legendary career, and this five-year extension ensures that he was not only here for AEW’s meteoric rise, but also remains a key part of the sustained success we’re witnessing, just days after the three-year anniversary show for AEW: Dynamite,” said Tony Khan. “Jon is a great world champion for us in his third reign. His wrestling mind is invaluable, and our roster is lucky to have the opportunity to utilize him as a mentor and a coach as we continue to build the stars of today and tomorrow.”

Moxley added, “I love AEW and the spirit of both the company and its fans. I cherish our shared passion for the sport of professional wrestling, and I’m going to dedicate everything I have in mind, body and spirit to helping AEW be the best it can be going forward.”

Max Dupri signs off by attacking Maximum Male Models, LA Knight is back!

Bye bye Max Dupri. Hello LA Knight, again!

Maximum Male Models will no longer be led by Max as the former NXT star turned on them. MMM will now be going forward, for now, with Maxxine Dupri.

On Smackdown, cameras showed both members of Maximum Male Models down with Dupri standing on top of them with a chair in his hand. Maxxine then came in frame and asked Max what was he thinking.

“Do not call me that name again,” he said, as he ripped them for failing. “What I am, who I am? LA Knight, yeah,” he said as he walked away to a pop from the crowd.

Wade Barrett then hilariously said on commentary that he knew that was LA Knight!

Meanwhile, it was later announced that LA Knight will take on Mansoor on next week’s Smackdown.

Bully Ray returns to Impact Wrestling

Bully Ray made his return to Impact Wrestling last night and was one of the mystery entrants in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match, a match which he eventually won.

Ray, last seen in an Impact Wrestling ring eight years ago, defeated Steve Maclin with the Bully Bomb to win the match. He now has the right to cash in a title shot against anyone he wants to in the promotion.

The multi-time champ and Impact Wrestling and WWE Hall of Famer also made his presence felt at the end of the show, coming to the aid of Josh Alexander following his successful title defense against Eddie Edwards. After Honor No More had Alexander down, it was Ray who came out for the save, although at first he teased he might be joining his former ROH friends.

Rampage TV report for 10/07/2022

Arena: Entertainment & Sports Arena

City: Washington DC

Last Week’s Rating: 472,000 overall; 0.16 in 18-49 demo

It’s Saturday morning, and you know what that means…  it’s time for our Rampage Review!

JR welcomed us, along with Excalibur, Jericho & William Regal.  So you knew what was starting us off.

BCC (Moxley, Claudio, Yuta) vs Rush & Private Party

Backstory: Private Party were about to attack Hangman on Weds when Moxley suggested they do otherwise; PP are obligated to appear due to the threat of a lawsuit for tampering

(The unofficial backstory of course is that Andrade’s match was cancelled when he was sent home due to a fight with Sammy.  Most sources now agree that Guevara did next to nothing.)

Meaning once again unto the breach for Moxley, who needs a pay rise and a good long rest when they finally have enough talent to allow him one.  (Alternatively, you could give him a five-year contract extension).

Regal would let Excalibur ‘melt in my mouth’.  Creepiest one yet.  The heels didn’t even get an entrance.  Rush should be bigger than that.

The Swiss and Marc Quen began, a complete contrast – strength vs speed – Claudio overpowering but Quen landing a moonsault out of the corner, a dropkick out of a flapjack followed.  The youngster then made the mistake of throwing an uppercut, Claudio quickly shook it off.

Yuta in along with Isiah as things sped up, the pair exchanging athletic armdrags, Yuta then locking in something like an Octopus, Isiah grabbing for the ropes when Wheeler threatened a dropkick.  Bringing a pissed-off Rush in to spit at Jon Moxley on the apron.  Not smart.

Crowd rising as the champ entered, the two faced off in the middle, an exchange of strikes leading to an exchange of big boots, neither really budging.  A dropstep German suplex brought the break with Moxley on top.

Things had changed as we returned, the Mexican with the advantage, pausing to shove Isiah as some ass in the crowd threw a beverage.  Quen struck Rush with a pump kick by mistake, then ate that twisting release suplex of Moxley’s, landing badly on his hamstring as Morrissey and Moriarty were shown in the crowd.  Presumably observing on behalf of MJF.

Running through Isiah with uppercuts, corner to corner, Claudio was in, about to take Kassidy for a spin when Quen grabbed his partner from the outside.  So the Swiss hauled them both in, Quen up on the shoulders, catching Isiah’s boot as he threw a kick.  Bringing a Swing with Quen still on his shoulders.

Rush in with a headbutt, Mox a cutter, PP in, diving cross body from the top by Yuta, tilt-a-whirl backbreaker to Isiah from Claudio, diving splash off the top from Wheeler, Rush broke it up with vicious kicks to two-thirds of the BCC, Mox retaliated with lariats, sending Rush outside, following with a tope.

Leaving Yuta and Isiah fighting in the middle, Quen on the apron, no-one else in sight.  A rake of the eyes allowed the tag, the heels setting up Silly String until Claudio interrupted, dispatching Isiah with an uppercut.  What Regal authoritatively assured us was a ‘bicep slice’ brought the tap from Quen to Yuta.

It was nice to see the Combat Club tag-up for once.  We don’t see them together often enough.  Would love to see Danielson, Claudio & Yuta go for the trios titles.

WINNER: BCC

Varsity Blondes vs Tony Nese & Josh Woods

Backstory: None

Schiavone joined on comms, unable to resist the allure of such a contest.  He immediately got on Jericho for cheating.

The Blondes started well but double-teaming left Garrison to be blasted with a Woods’ knee.  A double-team ‘finishing technique’ – Olympic slam/neckbreaker combo – brought the win as Arn Anderson was shown watching backstage.

Sterling took the mic – ‘first of all, that was pretty easy’ – revealing that he’d trademarked ‘Varsity’ for use in wrestling.  His team are now the Varsity Athletes and if the Blonds use the term he’ll sue.  Back-to-back matches with the threat of a lawsuit…

His groin ‘still on fire’ after national scissoring day – or like Regal anytime he’s round Excalibur – he was interrupted by the tag champs.  Caster made a reference to the fight between Draymond Green & Jordan Poole, before sending the heels bailing, finishing with another Scissor among themselves.

WINNER: Tony Nese & Josh Woods

Eddie Kingston video promo.  Kingston ranted about being ‘wrapped up’ after offering an insincere apology for his actions vs Sammy.

Anna Jay & Tay Melo (Tay-Jay-A-S) vs Madison Rayne & Skye Blue

Backstory: The heels insulted Blue’s lack of charisma; Blue did the same re: their wrestling (So why should we want to watch this?)

‘‘Tay-Jay-A-S’’ what a great name, that’s some of my genius’.  Even Jericho thinks that name sucks.

Anna quickly tagged out after a roll-up from Rayne.  A tag to Blue brought a double team drop-toe-hold/dropkick to Melo for two.  Blind tag from Anna, thereafter blindsiding Blue, Tay attacking from the outside, landing a pumpkick with Skye on the apron.

Break time.

Northern Lights for two as we returned – Rayne and Jay in the ring – Skye Blue in, landing a twisting kick to the face for another close count.  Bringing in Melo, she and Blue inexplicably going at it in the middle while the ref watched, helplessly (this has happened a lot lately, I keep wondering if I’ve missed a tag).

A heel kick to Blue saw Anna set up the Queenslayer.  However, Blue fought it off, leading to a series of standing switches, bringing Tay in once again to blast Blue with a kick before knocking Rayne off the apron, leaving Blue to slump into the Queenslayer for the tap.  All right in front of the ref.

Not only was the action bad, but the blatant interference was utterly ridiculous.  And I don’t normally care about the ‘tag count’ and all that, but this was direct, deliberate interference, right in the middle of the ring, right in front of the ref.  It made the whole thing seem pointless.  Which it was.  Sucked.

WINNER: Anna Jay & Tay Melo

Swerve – decked out in a ‘heel’ t-shirt – said he’s just there to ‘hurt’ Billy Gunn.  ‘I’m the clock, and for you, it’s ticking.  You’re done.’  Very good promo.

Dark Order vs Death Triangle, Trios Titles

Backstory: DO going for the belts on the anniversary of Brodie Lee’s last match

Pre-match, Dark Order vowed to win for Brodie.  Pac and co. thought otherwise, because they’re the ‘best in the universe’.

Jericho said Justin Roberts wasn’t there because he sent him to pick up his dry cleaning.  JR laughed.  So we can complain when anyone waits around to catch somebody but giggling along with the heels is fine?

Death Triangle ‘the hottest trio’ in the company per Excalibur.  Stop telling us and show us!

Immediately breaking out into a mass brawl, Fenix was left alone with the DO, Reynolds and Silver taking to the air with topes to Pac and Penta as Rey landed a hurracanrana into a pin on Ten for an early two.  Rey was then double teamed and left for Ten to haul up into a delayed suplex, the crowd counting along as Jericho referenced Bandido.

Reynolds in, dropping a step-up elbow for another two, Fenix finally getting the tag, Penta in but blasted with a thrust kick as Silver joined, bagging yet another two count after a double dropkick to the mush.  He and Penta slugged it out in the middle as the break beckoned.

Stuck in the Order’s corner as we returned, Fenix slipped out, using Silver and Reynolds against each other, finally kicking Reynolds’ legs out, forcing him to powerbomb his partner.  I love Rey.

Finally grabbing a tag, his brother in, to the top, diving cross body to all three Order members, a bevy of kicks, a fireman’s carry throw with a nasty landing for Silver in the corner and a backstabber for two on Reynolds.  Pac tagged in, the Bros taking out the other two on the outside, leaving the Brit to dissect Reynolds with kicks and a German.

Triple team kicks from DT to Reynolds, finally waking a tired crowd as a ‘zero miedo’ chant flared up.  Running elbow with Alex propped in the corner.  The velocity Pac gets on that is scary.

Tag to Fenix, then to Penta, diving legdrop off the top, more quick tags as the champs controlled the action.  Beginning to work the arm, Penta targeted it with kicks, Reynolds in need of a tag, a heavy slap to the chest prefacing a tag out to Pac.

Who sent Reynolds to the outside, where he ate a suplex on the mats as the final break came.

A struggling Reynolds threw weak shots upon our return, then struck with a leaping stomp when Pac ducked for a back body drop.  Finally the tag to Ten, who ran through the champs with clotheslines, slams and finally a spinebuster to Rey as the crowd chanted ‘Ten Ten Ten!’.

Pac in with double sledges, Ten a sitting duck for triple ‘uno, dos, tres’ thrust kicks.  More chants of ‘Ten’ as the crowd urged him on to fight off Fenix via suplex – tag to Silver as Rey did the same to Pac.  This should be fun.

Heavy forearms exchanged, thrustkicks too, Silver ate that brutal rebound German but popped right back up, Pac locking in a backslide, Silver slipping out into his flurry of chest kicks with the Brit on his knees.  Deadlift brainbuster – 1,2, kickout!  Crowd very into that sequence.

Fenix in, dropped with a clubbing blow as the other DO knocked his partners off the apron, leaving us back where we’d started: Rey alone against all three.  Pendulum Bomb for another two slaps of the mat.  Finally one-on-one, Rey fought off Reynolds with a springboard hurracanrana, landing so hard on his knees.

Tag to his bro: slingblade, another – another – nope, Silver ducked but seconds later ate a backstabber out of the corner.  ‘Zero Miedo’ – Fear Factor time – but Silver flipped out, he and Reynolds striking with their excellent double-team combo, discus lariat from Ten, titles on the line, pin broken up at the last.

Jose the Assistant out as the crowd played ‘this is awesome!’, drawing the attention of both Ten and Silver, Rush sneaking the bell-hammer to Pac, who blasted Reynolds in the skull as Rey took out the others after a rope-walk.  An innocent Penta tagged Pac in for the inevitable victory.

I was about to say this was my favorite match since Jericho/Moxley.  I still will.  But that finish brought it down a lot.  Yes, there are stories to tell but this was so good that neither side would’ve been hurt by losing.

It had plenty of time, allowing it to build, which it did into an excellent match.  We’ve always heard how many great trios the company has.  And Death Triangle are fantastic, so they need to wrestle –  and win – every week.  Unfortunately, it sems like Pac isn’t long for the group.

Certainly don’t envy Battle of the Belts having to follow that.

WINNER: Death Triangle

Next Dynamite:

  • Jericho vs Danielson, ROH Title
  • Jungleboy vs Luchasaurus
  • Billy Gunn vs Swerve Strickland
  • Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida vs Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter

Dynamite Tuesday 18th Oct:

  • Moxley vs Hangman, AEW Title

Overall impressions

An absolutely fantastic main event bailed out an otherwise poor show.  The opener was fine.  Anything with Marc Quen doesn’t do a lot for me.  But that middle was ‘a big bunch of nothing’, as Tony Soprano once said.  Even by Rampage standards.  Watch the main event; avoid the rest.

Check Out

  • Death Triangle vs Dark Order

Smackdown TV report for 10/07/2022

Smackdown opens with Triple H in the ring. He welcomes everyone to Fox and the season premiere of Friday Night Smackdown. Roman Reigns and the Bloodline then come out.

As the Bloodline continue to pose and walk to the ring, Michael Cole announces his new commentary partner Wade Barrett.

Roman asks Worcester to acknowledge him and Logan Paul’s music hits and he comes to the ring.

Roman says this is his show and that means this is a safe place come in the ring they want to hear what he has to say. The crowd start chanting “Logan sucks.” Roman then tells Paul not to worry as they did the same thing to him years ago and now he is the greatest ever.

Paul Heyman then tells Paul that he is this generation’s Mr. T and Cindy Lauper. Heyman continued naming people who wouldn’t have the guts to fight Roman Reigns. Heyman then says Paul is going to have a breathing tube and a catheter after his match with Roman Reigns and he hopes they put those tubes in the right places.

Paul asks when Heyman said he is going to get smashed in the face by the Tribal Chief did he mean Roman Reigns or Jey Uso? Jey then went crazy yelling at him. And Roman stared at Jey, as Sami Zayn gets the microphone and gets in between Roman and Jey and tells them to take a deep breath, reminds Roman he is the head of the table and the Tribal Chief and no one here is challenging that.

Sami says that they have a saying, you are the 2’s and we are the ones and Paul is the biggest 2 of them all. Roman is seen chuckling when he said that.

Ricochet VS. Solo Sikoa

As Ricochet got in the ring and did his back flip, Sikoa attacks Ricochet. Sikoa catches Ricochet out of his 450 splash and hits the spinning Sikoa.

Winner: Solo Sikoa

In the back they show the Bloodline in the locker room with Sami Zayn saying he has taken Sikoa under his wing. Jey Uso stops him saying that Solo is their brother and Sami says you don’t have to be such a hot head and Jey begins yelling at Sami until Roman looks over and says you are a hot head. He tells Jey he always have been a hot head and they have dealt with it their whole lives and he is tired of dealing with it and it is not his problem anymore. He tells Zayn that now it’s his problem. Sami just looks nervous and says ok.

The Usos and Sami are walking in the back and run into the New Day. They say you go from being main event Jey Uso to Sami Zayn is your boss. Then Sami tells them to go find a partner and they will settle this in the ring.

Hit Row come out to the ring and three masked men attack them. Zelina Vega attacks B Fab. Zelina gets the microphone and the three men unmasked: its Legado Del Fantasma!

Shotzi & Raquel Rodriguez VS. Sonya Deville & Xia Li

Raquel hits the powerbomb and got the win for her team

Winners: Shotzi & Raquel Rodriguez

Karrion Kross comes out and as they finish doing their entrance, Drew McIntyre is shown behind Kross and attacks Kross and brings a strap. He attempts to tie the strap to Kross and security come out and pull McIntyre out of the ring. McIntyre takes care of all the security and Kross rolls out of the ring and pulls the strap attached to Drew’s wrist right against the ring post. Kross then continues to whip Drew with the strap. Kross then leaves Drew laying in pain and Kross smiles as he and Scarlett walk away.

Sami Zayn & The Usos VS. The New Day & Braun Strowman

During the match Jey and Sami argue, Jimmy tries to calm them down, but Kofi makes the tag to Strowman. As Sami and Jey argue on the floor, Strowman tags out to Kofi and Strowman ran around and took them out right into the commentary table. Michael Cole is taken out, laying on the ground yelling “oh my God!” Then as those two are laid out at ringside, the New Day double team Jimmy for the win.

Winners: The New Day and Braun Strowman

Maxine is in the back yelling at Max Dupri and Max said I gave you all a chance and I am no Max, I am L. A. Knight.

Gunther VS. Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship

The Brawling Brutes and Imperium come back to ringside fighting and Gunther is handed Sheamus’ shillelagh by Kaiser and as the referee had her back turned to the fight outside, Gunther hits Sheamus with the shillelagh for the win.

Winner and Still WWE Intercontinental Champion: Gunther

Zelina Vega returns and brings Legado Del Fantasma with her to Smackdown

Legado Del Fantasma and Zelina Vega made a big splash on Friday Night Smackdown as the foursome re-introduced themselves to the WWE audience with Vega seemingly replacing Elektra Lopez in the faction.

Their arrival came at the expense of Hit Row, who got attacked by three masked luchadors in suits. Fans immediately knew who they were and got a nice pop. Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro continued their attack on Hit Row before Zelina Vega, now a blonde, attacked B. Fab.

As Legado posed in the ring, they unmasked themselves to another pop.

“Zelina Vega is back and I did not come alone,” Vega said, before handing the mic to Escobar. “We are Legado Del Fantasma. Smackdown is ours. Be safe.”

Vega has not appeared on WWE television since April and was reportedly injured. Legado Del Fantasma have been off TV since August after Escobar lost his final NXT match against Tony D’Angelo.

White Rabbit reveal at Extreme Rules? More Wyatt hints given

WWE logo

The White Rabbit’s arrival is nearly here and more hints were given during Smackdown which point to a Bray Wyatt return.

Triple H opened the Smackdown season premiere and a QR code was seen on the microphone. Scanning that QR code takes you to https://www.wwe.com/10822 where a video of a cartoon pig repeatedly says “Let me in,” the phrase often used by Wyatt. Huskus The Pig, a character from the Firefly Fun House, also appeared quickly on screen.

Then later on in the show, a vignette of a white rabbit falling down on a purple X was shown with the words “feed your head” displayed in different languages. The reveal date is tomorrow, October 8, at Extreme Rules. Feed your head is part of the White Rabbit song by Jefferson Airplane, the song which is played during events.

A white rabbit was also seen walking around the arena during Smackdown and appeared on camera behind Michael Cole and Wade Barrett.

Gable Steveson starts full-time training at WWE Performance Center

In a story published by ESPN it was revealed that Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson has started training at the WWE Performance Center full-time after undergoing surgery for a heart condition.

Steveson admitted that the issue, called Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, was discovered last year before the Olympics but opted to wait until WWE’s medical staff advice. WWE’s medical team guided Steveson throughout the whole process including the recommendation of top cardiologists.

ESPN described WPW as a rare congenital heart defect, present at birth, in which an extra electrical pathway causes a rapid heartbeat. Steveson underwent an ablation, “a procedure that uses small burns or freezes to cause scarring on the inside of the heart to help break up the electrical signals and maintain a normal heart rhythm.”

“We’re just excited to get this journey started, it’s been a long road to get to this point,” Steveson told ESPN. “I feel that I’m capable of being in that top spot and I feel that I’m capable of handling that position in the right way.”

He said he’s a competitor and entertainer and can do things other big guys cannot do so he’s looking forward to put his abilities on display soon.

Former Raw commentator Jimmy Smith talks WWE departure, thanks fans

Now former Raw commentator Jimmy Smith addressed his departure from WWE and his role as the main play-by-play guy for the red brand.

In a post on Twitter, Smith said that he had a lot of fun and met some great people along the way.

“Really and truly blown away by the acceptance from the WWE fans! You folks make it work every week and your enthusiasm was amazing,” Smith wrote.

On his podcast MMA on SiriusXM, Smith went into greater detail about his release.

“I didn’t expect to do this at at all. At all. I had no idea that I would be doing professional wrestling at all. The call came out of the blue, the audition came out of the blue, getting on Raw came out of the blue, and me leaving is out of the blue,” Smith said.

“So, I didn’t expect any of this, so then to lose it…I’m fine. I didn’t expect to be there at all! This is all kind of like a goof. This all feels like a dream when you look back on it. I called WrestleMania? It’s weird, yeah, I did call WrestleMania! It’s insane,” he continued.

He explained how getting released from WWE is different from when he got released from the UFC, which he called devastating and financially crushing. He said he lost everything he owned when he was let go from UFC but now he works on Sirius XM and ESPN.

“I lost one of three jobs. A big job, but is not a financial ruin,” Smith said.

He then gave kudos to WWE fans who embraced him with very kind words and said that he keeps getting supportive messages even right now. He admitted he didn’t expect fans to accept him and it was a cool experience overall.
