Nigel McGuinness released from WWE

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE has released Nigel McGuinness after six years with the company.

The 46-year-old, who signed with WWE in 2016, was originally brought in to do commentary for the NXT UK brand, starting with the United Kingdom Championship Tournament. He eventually went on to do commentary for NXT, 205 Live, and Main Event as well but lately, following the closure of NXT UK, he was tasked with doing commentary for NXT Level Up.

McGuinness’ name was absent from the commentary changes that were published by WWE ahead of the season premieres of Smackdown and Raw.
