The Elite and Jack Perry take out Tony Khan on Dynamite in show-closing angle

Eric Bischoff was powerbombed from the stage by the nWo in WCW, Vince McMahon ate a lot of Stunners in WWE from Stone Cold Steve Austin, Dixie Carter was powerbombed through a table by Team 3D in TNA…so it was just a matter of time when Tony Khan would be on the receiving end of something in AEW.

And that time was yesterday on Dynamite in a show-closing angle which saw The Elite and Jack Perry turn on the AEW President.

Closing the show, Jack Perry came out to call out Khan and promised to work with Khan to continue changing the world of professional wrestling for the better. After the two agreed, shook hands, and arms were raised, Perry turned on Khan by punching him in the stomach.

That brought out The Elite who were seemingly going to take care of Khan…until they also turned on him and hit the Tony Khan Driver, leaving him motionless in the middle of the ring.

A mass exodus from the locker room followed, with referees, medics, and wrestlers coming out to help their boss. Even Shad Khan, the billionaire father of Tony, came out for his AEW debut to attend to his son.
