Mercedes Mone wins the women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament

Mercedes Mone has a chance to add the AEW Women’s title to her collection of titles after she was victorious in the women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament final yesterday and now has a shot at Toni Storm’s title come All In: Texas.

Mone vs Jamie Hayter kicked off the Double or Nothing pay-per-view and it was another strong showing from Mone, who has been delivering big time in PPV matches over the past several months. Mone won the match with a DDT.

Mone defeated Julia Hart in the first round of the tournament and then the ROH Women’s champion Athena in the second round before reaching the final while Hayter eliminated Billie Starkz and Kris Statlander in the first two rounds.

This will be Mone’s first shot at the AEW Women’s title. She remains the TBS champion.
