“Hangman” Adam Page wins the men’s Owen Hart Cup tournament

“Hangman” Adam Page is going to All In: Texas with an AEW World title shot secured after last night he defeated Will Ospreay in the main event of Double or Nothing to win the men’s Owen Hart Cup tournament.

The hard-hitting 36-minute match did not disappoint and was worthy of the main event status as both Page and Ospreay put on a classic in their first-ever one-on-one match. Page won after he hit his buckshot lariat finisher.

Page went through Josh Alexander in the first round and Kyle Fletcher in the second round before reaching the final while Ospreay went through Kevin Knight in the first round and then Konosuke Takeshita in the second.

The popular “Hangman” has been without AEW gold since May 2022, losing the title to CM Punk at that year’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
