Fans who purchased tickets in certain sections at State Farm Arena for Evolution received e-mails from Ticketmaster saying that their seats were upgraded to a better view.
The reality is that a lot of the upper sections which were originally opened for sale were closed off and those who purchased tickets in those particular sections had to be moved.
The 15,000-seater arena will have its smallest wrestling attendance yet as only just over 6,000 tickets for Evolution were distributed as of now according to @WrestleTix.
Evolution is the last of three WWE shows happening in Atlanta this weekend, with NXT Great American Bash at Center Stage and Saturday Night’s Main Event at the State Farm Arena both happening tomorrow.
Saturday Night’s Main Event is doing much better in ticket sales, with over 12,000 tickets out so far. Booking Evolution on July 13 was not a brilliant idea from WWE considering Beyonce is running a concert across the road at the same time at the much-larger Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The first Evolution in 2018 drew 10,900 fans at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.
