Gail Kim reacts to TNA President’s comments to freshen up the Knockouts division

Gail Kim, who worked for several years with TNA Wrestling leading the Knockouts division, reacted to TNA President Carlos Silva’s comments from earlier this week on The Ariel Helwani Show.

Silva said that releasing Kim was a very hard decision, his hardest one so far since he took the reigns of TNA, but one he said which was necessary to “reinvigorate” the division.

“I want to let it be known that I was pushing for that for a year plus before Carlos Silva came in,” Kim said in a post on social media. “To grow homegrown talent and do more with the KO division. I was fighting for that since Scott departed.”

Apart from heading the Knockouts division, Kim was also a producer and worked in the talent relations. She was dismissed in March along with three other TNA executives.

“My loyalty and passion towards the KO division should never be questioned and how I wanted that division to be upheld,” Kim continued. “I fought for them on the weekly. Just wanted my thoughts to be clearly delivered.”

Kim remains without a job officially but has been working backstage at NXT lately.
