Gail Kim to referee NWA Women’s championship match featuring Natalya

TNA Hall of Famer Gail Kim will be referring the match between NWA Women’s champion Kenzie Paige and WWE Superstar Natalya this coming Saturday during the NWA Crockett Cup event.

The announcement came straight from NWA CEO Billy Corgan.

“As the person who booked this very special match-up between the WWE’s Natalya and NWA World Women’s Champion Kenzie Paige, in a championship match no less, and given the bad blood between the two stars, which has only built since the Bloodsport event in Vegas and of course Ms. Paige’s unseemly attack at The Dungeon, I’ve come to a very important conclusion: which is that the officiating of this match must be handled in a very particular way,” Corgan wrote.

He said that while he has full confidence in the NWA referees, he’s concerned about their safety and wants a clear and just result.

“I’ve named Gail Kim as the special guest referee for this contest at Crockett Cup, Saturday, May 17th in Philadelphia; for I know well Ms. Kim’s impeccable and unimpeachable integrity in the sport of professional wrestling. May the best lady win.”
