Tommaso Ciampa returning to NXT action next week

Former NXT champion Tommaso Ciampa will be returning to action next week on NXT after almost eight months away.

Ciampa vacated the NXT title in March 2019 with the planned match against Gargano at NXT Takeover: New York then switched to Gargano vs Adam Cole. Since March, Ciampa underwent neck surgery and was told not to wrestle again but Ciampa defied all the odds and is now fully healed.

Ciampa will take on Angel Garza, who made his NXT debut in June participating in the Breakout Tournament and in August he wrestled on an episode of 205 Live.

Also announced for next week are Keith Lee taking on Dominik Dijakovic and Pete Dunne vs Damian Priest.
