SummerSlam announced for Saturday, August 21

WWE today announced that SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 21 with the location being revealed during the 2021 Belmont Stakes’ pre-race show on NBC next Saturday, June 5.

Rumors are that the show will take place at the Allegiant Stadium, the new state-of-the-art facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, but that is not 100% confirmed.

Tickets for SummerSlam go on sale Friday, June 18.

This will be the first time that SummerSlam, or any major WWE pay-per-view for that matter, will be held on a Saturday instead of Sunday.

The Smackdown prior to SummerSlam will take place in Phoenix while the Raw following the PPV will be held in San Diego.
