Sasha Banks became the new number one contender for the Raw Women’s title last night after she defeated Nia Jax.

Ronda Rousey, who was the guest of Alexa Bliss on her new Moment of Bliss talk show, had big praise for Sasha Banks but her promo was interrupted by Jax, who demanded another match against Rousey.

But Jax didn’t get her title shot, instead got a match against Banks to determine who would be facing Rousey at the Royal Rumble and she came up short.

This is Banks’ first title shot opportunity since the Elimination Chamber 2018 pay-per-view where she was one of the participants in the first-ever women’s Chamber match.

Banks is a former four-time Raw Women’s champion with her last title reign ending at No Mercy in 2017 in a match against Alexa Bliss.
