Rock and Reigns segment from last week’s Smackdown brings in the viewers

The Rock’s and Roman Reigns’ segment on Friday Night Smackdown last week was, much to no surprise, the highest-rated segment of the show with 2,890,000 viewers tuning in for the final quarter hour according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

The segment also delivered an impressive 0.86 rating in 18-49 which translates to over a million viewers.

While this was a high number, it is not the highest-rated segment of the past year for the company, with Roman Reigns’ Tribal Court still at the top with just over 3 million viewers from July. His 1,000 day celebration as champion also came close with 2,901,000 viewers.

WWE is looking to hook more viewers as it heads into WrestleMania and the addition of The Rock in the coming weeks will surely help bump up those numbers.
