Ripley out of Money In The Bank, Carmella replaces her

The number one contender for the Raw Women’s title, Rhea Ripley, is unable to compete at the Money In The Bank premium live event and has been taken off the card.

Ripley, who last wrestled on the June 6 episode of Monday Night Raw, was replaced by Carmella, who last night won a five-way match against Asuka, Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, and Alexa Bliss to earn her shot.

It’s not known what kind of injury Ripley is suffering from but with MITB still two weeks away, it’s not going to be a quick recovery.

Carmella was last going to get a title shot at SummerSlam last year in Las Vegas when she showed up as a late replacement of Sasha Banks against Bianca Belair. But her spot was taken by the returning Becky Lynch, who beat Belair in 26 seconds.
