Monday Night Raw TV report for 02/05/2024

Arena: Enterprise Center
City: St. Louis, MO

First out to the ring is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins who was booed and a Cody chant started. Seth stated “wow something tells me you want Cody, well so do I so Cody please come out here.” Cody comes out. Seth has more questions than answers after Smackdown.

The crowd started chanting “Rocky sucks.” Michael Cole asked if it was 1996 again and Seth said, “to be honest I didn’t expect to hear that tonight”.

Seth told Cody he needed this match as much as he did because Seth needs to know if he is better than he was when they did this before, and Cody is the best. Seth asked Cody if he was going to face him at WrestleMania. Before Cody could answer, Drew McIntyre comes out and interrupts.

Drew said he took out Punk and started telling Cody he needed to finish the story, Seth stops Drew and said what makes you think if it isn’t Cody and I at WrestleMania it’s going to be me and you because we have done this a few times and you lost. Drew reminded Seth that he had lost 3 times to Cody.

Drew continued to congratulate Seth on a job well done and Cody tried to interrupt, and Drew told him to hold on and continued by saying no one wants to face Roman because they already knew the end of the match, his family is going to interfere. Drew then tells Seth its time to let someone else run with the title so he can rest his injuries and that is him and hits Seth with a Glasgow Kiss headbutt. Cody then sends Drew out of the ring with after a few shots to the head.

DIY VS. The New Day VS. Imperium VS. The Creed Brothers with winners facing Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne to get a shot at the Undisputed Tag Team Championship.

Brutus Creed hit the Brutus bomb on the floor to the New Day and Imperium. The Creed Brothers go for the Brutus Bomb finisher but before Brutus jumped Ciampa, tagged in and after they hit the Brutus Bomb on Vinci, DIY came in and took out the Creeds and they meet in the middle double knee kick on Vinci and Ciampa pins him, and get the win.

Winners: DIY

Becky Lynch VS. Shayna Baszler in a women’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match

After multiple reversals and pin attempts, it’s Becky with the Manhandle Slam to Shayna to get the win.

Winner: Becky Lynch

Cathy Kelly interviews Liv Morgan. Liv will face Zoey Stark next week. Liv said her career was shortened by a whole year. And she is out for revenge and wants Rhea Ripley. And said watch me.

A video package is shown of Nakamura again attacking Cody Rhodes over the weekend setting up tonight’s Bull Rope Match.

Adam Pearce yelling at Drew McIntyre for attacking both Punk and Rollins who were both not medically cleared. While they were talking Rhea Ripley’s music played and she went to the ring and Drew said there goes Rhea and Adam says not supposed to be and Drew said maybe you should go handle that.

Rhea Ripley called out Nia Jax out and wants her one-on-one and Adam Pearce comes out and says this is not the time for this. Pearce said he has given Rhea Nia Jax for the championship at the Elimination Chamber. This brings Nia to the ring and the two begin fighting. As security comes in to break up the fight, they push Ripley back and Nia came running and splashed everyone and then gave Ripley the annihilator, leaving the champion lying in the ring as Nia leaves on her own.

Akira Tozawa & Maxxine Dupri VS. Valhalla & Ivar

Ivar gave Tozawa a powerslam off the second rope and got the pin.

Winners: Ivar & Valhalla

The Judgment Day shown talking. Dominik comes in and says Rhea is good, but she needs some space. R-Truth comes in and JD says if he didn’t have a match, he would wipe the floor with him. Truth then tells Finn and Priest he got it that was the initiation last week. Finn says there is no initiation and says he can’t deal with him and tells Priest to deal with him and Priest says make yourself at home whatever and walks out.

JD McDonagh VS. The Miz

During the match Dominik pulled The Miz’s leg and JD took control. R-Truth comes out and gives out The Judgment Day’s T-Shirts and the distraction let The Miz gain the upper hand on JD. R-Truth sneaks up behind Dominik and puts a shirt on him and The Miz takes out Dominik. JD then hits The Miz with a headbutt and a moonsault and The Miz kicks out and Truth gets on the apron and hands JD a handful of money and while JD was distracted the Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale’ and got the win.

Winner: The Miz

Kayden Carter & Katana Chance talk about their rematch and getting their titles back.

Adam Pearce is in the office talking to Imperium about Gunther’s 600-day title reign celebration. Pearce then tells them they need to go because he has a meeting and Bron Breakker walks in and Pearce begins telling him that whatever Aldis is offering him he will beat it and all his promises are on paper.

A video package of CM Punk’s surgery and talks about his road to recovery.

Imperium are in the ring to celebrate Gunther’s 600-day title reign as WWE Intercontinental Champion. It’s actually 605 days and counting and is the longest reign of all time. He thanked Kaiser for setting this up, but he doesn’t want anymore celebrations. He then says he is running out of challengers and there is no in the back to challenge him. This leads to Main Event Jey Uso coming to the ring.

Gunther says he gets it and simple hand gestures with a simple audience. Gunther said he feels some disrespect here. Jey says no disrespect, he has earned his stripes. Gunther then says he also has great accomplishments. Because Jey was part of one of the greatest tag team and many tag title reigns. Jey says let me reintroduce myself, it’s 2024 and it’s time for me to be a singles champion. Gunther said he is going to beat him so bad; he will beat him worse than his family ever did. Gunther then gives Jey a shoulder and Jey tackled him, and a fight began the rest of Imperium quickly jumped in and the New Day comes out and help Jey and run off Imperium.

Shinsuke Nakamura talked about his Bull Rope Match with Cody tonight and says he is going to beat Cody in a match his family made famous.

Katana Chance & Kayden Carter VS. Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

After throwing Carter into the ring steps, the Kabuki Warriors double teamed Chance and hit their Insane Elbow while Asuka was holding Chance and Sane gets the pin.

Winners and Still WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: Kabuki Warriors

Jackie Redmond interviewed Sami Zayn before the event as he was sitting in the stands by himself. Sami says he wants to be the champion to prove himself right and to prove the fans who have supported him all these years right.

The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes VS. Shinsuke Nakamura in a Bull Rope match

Cody gets the red mist in the face but was still able to hit Crossroads, but Shinsuke kicked out. Cody was able to grab the rope and give Shinsuke a low blow with the rope and hit another Crossroads and was able to pin Shinsuke.

Winner: The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes

After the match as Cody was starting to celebrate his win, Drew McIntyre attacked Cody and left him lying after a Claymore.
