John Cena finally secures his Grand Slam

John Cena finally got his Grand Slam, just a month before he wraps up his illustrious in-ring career which spans 25 years with WWE.

The modern WWE Grand Slam requires someone to win a primary heavyweight championship, a tag team championship, and a secondary championship and Cena qualified after last night’s IC title win.

The Intercontinental championship is a title that Cena has never won in his career before, and last night’s victory against Dominik Mysterio sends his tally to 27 championships in WWE.

During his career, Cena won the WWE championship 14 times and the World Heavyweight title three times, shattering Ric Flair’s long-standing record with 17 major world championships. He also won the United States title five times, the WWE Tag Team titles twice with The Miz and David Otunga, and the WWE World Tag Team titles twice with Batista and Shawn Michaels.
