Appearing at Fan Expo Canada in Toronto, 17-time world champion John Cena said that there is “no Khan” in the world of wrestling who is rich enough to tempt him back to a wrestling ring following his retirement.
The “no Khan” was obviously referring to WWE President Nick Khan and AEW President Tony Khan.
“No Khan has got the pocketbook…Nick, Tony…they ain’t got the money. I’’m out!” Cena told the crowd after they started chanting ‘one more match.’
He said a lot of people spent their hard earned money on his farewell tour and if he decides to selfishly return for ego-driven reasons, it would be him lying to everyone.
“You might not mind, but there are people who paid a fortune to sit at that last match. And for me to be like, ‘Just kidding…’ I met so many families that put so much effort into saving just to see those moments,” Cena continued.
Cena added that he walked out with his health and feels good and has closure about it and will not be bumping again when he makes any WWE appearances.
