First two advance in The Last Time Is Now tournament

The first two individuals moved on in The Last Time Is Now tournament yesterday on Raw.

Rusev defeated Damian Priest in the first match to advance to the second round while later in the broadcast, Sheamus defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to advance.

Both men have a history with Cena in the ring, with Rusev even sharing the ring with him at WrestleMania. Sheamus defeated Cena for the WWE title, coincidentally on the same December 13 day several years ago.

Meanwhile, the next two matches to take place in the tournament next week on Raw will feature NXT’s Je’Von Evans vs the returning Gunther and Solo Sikoa vs another mystery opponent.

The tournament continues this Friday on Smackdown, with Jey Uso vs The Miz and LA Knight vs a mystery opponent.
