Drew McIntyre and Sheamus to battle for IC title #1 contendership

The number one contender for the Intercontinental title was not decided yesterday as the fatal five-way match between Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Xavier Woods, Karrion Kross, and LA Knight ended with two winners.

McIntyre and Sheamus did simultaneous cover pins and two referees hit the three count at the same time, each declaring McIntyre and Sheamus as winners.

While fans chanted for a triple threat, Gunther had a different idea and did not like it, arguing later in the broadcast that he should only face one opponent at WrestleMania.

Adam Pearce then made a Drew vs Sheamus match for next week’s Smackdown where the winner of that match gets the WrestleMania match against Gunther for the Intercontinental title.
