Daniel Bryan on renewing with WWE: “There’s a good chance I’ll re-sign”

In an interview conducted two weeks ago but published yesterday by The Business Times in Singapore, former WWE champion Daniel Bryan gave his first indications that he might stay with WWE after his contract expires on September 1.

“The wrestling world is an interesting world right now,” Bryan said. “But I love working with WWE and my wife is a part of WWE and so there’s a good chance I’ll re-sign.”

Bryan told The Business Times that he’s currently in negotiations with WWE over a new contract so the “good chance” is looking more and more definite. Bryan is booked in several shows, including the big MCG show in Australia, after his September 1 contract deadline.

The tune has changed ever since he was cleared a few months ago. Over the last several months before he got cleared, Bryan said in multiple interviews that if WWE didn’t clear him to compete, he would be wrestling somewhere else. But in March, that all changed and Bryan is now back as a full-time WWE Superstar.

The interview was conducted in Taipei during WWE’s one-day stop there after the shows in Tokyo, Japan.
