Jim Ross comments on Bryan Danielson joining the AEW commentary team

On the latest episode of Grilling JR, Jim Ross expressed his utmost confidence in Bryan Danielson making the transition to a commentary, saying that he will do a tremendous job every week on Dynamite.

The Hall of Fame commentator noted that Danielson is a “student of the game” and has knowledge that he’s happy to share.

“I like the addition of him,” JR said. “It gets some knowledge out of a talent that has been kind of sequestered into…I don’t want to say oblivion, but Bryan’s a really smart guy and I’ve heard some of his work. I think he does a good job.”

The former AEW champion was recently added full time to the Dynamite commentary team with Excalibur and Taz.

After earning praise for his commentary at Forbidden Door, Danielson joined the AEW Dynamite announce team on a full-time basis last week. He’s now calling the show with Excalibur and Taz.

JR said that Danielson works as hard at getting ready for a show just as he did getting ready for the ring and with that kind of work rate, everybody wins.

“I think it’s good for our show and brand. Exposing Bryan Danielson is a smart thing, it’s good product placement, if you will,” JR continued. “Tony Khan’s got a great vision for things like that so I’m excited to see where it all heads.”
