AEW went old school with a “paid ad” segment on Impact Wrestling, showing Tony Schiavone and AEW President Tony Khan.

“Hey Impact Wrestling, it’s great to be here tonight via this paid ad,” Khan said. “I understand that the brand new AEW World champion Kenny Omega is going to be on this show tonight so I thought I would join him.”

Khan said that if he wanted to stop the appearance he could have by filing an injunction and claiming breach of contract but instead he thought he would “fund the show” via this ad and help promote AEW to Impact’s audience.

The AEW President then invited Impact VP Don Callis to join Omega on AEW Dynamite tonight and then he and Schiavone ran down the card for the show, which was taped last week.
