James Ellsworth answers Eli Drake’s open challenge at BFG 2018

Former WWE star James Ellsworth made an appearance at Bound For Glory yesterday and answered Eli Drake’s open challenge.

Ellsworth, who was making his first-ever appearance for Impact, made references to WWE during his segment and told the fans that he once lived in the basement of a girl he dated who was from Staten Island, referring to former Smackdown Women’s champion Carmella. Impact fans were not too happy with Ellsworth and chanted “F*ck you Ellsworth.” Fans also chanted “Delete” at him to which Drake responded that they have the wrong guy!

Drake eventually defeated Ellsworth quickly before Abyss, who the night before was inducted into the Impact Hall of Fame, came out to destroy the former Impact champion.

Fans at the Melrose Ballroom were really hoping it would be Chris Jericho who answers the open challenge and Jericho hinted a few times on Twitter about it but it turns out that if Jericho hints at something…it’s not going to happen!
