Rey Fenix suffers nasty dislocated arm on Dynamite

Rey Fenix of The Lucha Bros suffered a nasty dislocated arm last night on Dynamite after a bad landing.

The incident came when Luchasaurus chokeslammed Fenix from the apron and onto a table at ringside. Unfortunately, Fenix’s right hand snapped upon impact and made for one of the nastiest injury visuals on television.

Fenix and Penta went on to lose their AEW Tag Team titles to Jurassic Express, ending a four-month reign for the duo.

Fenix was transported to a hospital after the match and after several hours it was determined that he did not break it, but it was a dislocation according to Bryan Alvarez of the Observer.

You can watch what happened below but warning, it contains images that might not be suitable for everyone.

William Regal and others fired as old guard at NXT gets gutted

The bloodshed continued at the WWE Performance Center with a total of 11 personnel cut from the NXT brand.

Apart from Road Dogg, others included William Regal, Timothy Thatcher, Scott Armstrong, George Caroll, Ryan Katz, Hideki Suzuki, Cathy Corino, Danny Burch, Chris Guy, and Dave Kapoor.

Kapoor, who at one point was the SVP of Creative at WWE, and Ryan Katz, ran the creative at NXT.

William Regal is obviously another surprise cut and Triple H’s right hand man in the brand. Regal, who has not been seen as NXT GM since the 2.0 launch, also recruited stars for the company and has been working there for 21 years.

Suzuki, Thatcher, and Burch were wrestlers and the rest were all either trainers or producers within the brand.

Road Dogg and other NXT staff released from WWE

New year, new releases. It only took a few days into 2022 for WWE to drop the axe once again.

WWE has made several more releases from their Performance Center in Orlando according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling with WWE confirming the news with a statement.

“With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we’ve decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our Performance Center,” the statement read. “We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best.”

Among those cut according to Fightful is WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg, who was part of the group leading the black and gold brand along with Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

With Triple H’s absence, Michaels has been leading the charge but it looks like the trusted lieutenants that Triple H has relied on are getting the pink slip as the brand continues to move in a different direction.

More releases from NXT are expected with the old guard backstage getting the short end of the stick.

Cody Rhodes regrets “almost everything” about the feud with Anthony Ogogo

TNT champion Cody Rhodes admitted that he regrets “almost everything” in his feud with Anthony Ogogo from last year.

Speaking to Brandon Walker of Barstool Sports, Rhodes said he was having a good time with it originally and was excited about being in the feud with an Olympian but what ultimately led to the downfall of the whole feud was the promo he did on Dynamite.

“I stood by what I said in the promo…I had this infamous promo…and I thought the content was good, the intentions were good,” Cody said. “However, a white guy, talking about race relations who has an American flag tattoo on his neck…I can see why people would use the term tone deaf when it came to that.”

Rhodes said he was wrong in eventually trying to defend what he said and he should have went out and “winged it” during the interview rather than to stick what he said. Cody said that he’s a planner and a thinker and that’s what makes it even harder that he struck out on that one.

“Over planned it and just struck out,” Cody said. “Although I stand by it!”

The original plan also had Cody vs Ogogo return match in the United Kingdom but, “now I just never want to think about it.”

Tony Khan says “dream signing” coming to AEW

During a radio interview to promote tonight’s Dynamite debut on TBS, AEW President Tony Khan told iHeartRadio’s Z100 that there is a dream signing coming pretty soon to All Elite Wrestling.

When asked by the host if there are any big signings coming in and if they’re from North America or internationally, Khan said yes there will be, and from North America.

“They’re coming. And, pretty soon. And it’s going to be awesome, I’m very excited,” Khan said, but that’s about as much as he elaborated on the subject.

Khan has been pretty busy with signings lately and managed to get the likes of CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, Adam Cole, and others added to his roster.

A look at the 2021 Rampage television ratings

AEW’s newest television show Rampage averaged a total of 608,000 viewers in the final five months of 2021 and a 0.25 rating in the 18-49 demo. The 10PM time slot, although not the best, still attracted a large number of AEW fans and the first three weeks of the show were the most watched.

Without any doubt, the most-watched episode of Rampage was the August 20 episode which saw the return of CM Punk after seven years. That show averaged 1,129,000 viewers and a 0.53 rating in the 18-49 demo. The premiere episode drew 704,000 with a 0.31 while the third episode did 722,000 with a 0.34.

The show experienced an 8-week decline in a row from the second episode and unfortunately, things started to go down a bit downhill from there and from October 8 onward, the show hovered in the 500,000 number and failed to surpass the 600,000 viewership mark since late October.

NXT Cruiserweight title retired following title unification match

The NXT Cruiserweight title has been officially retired after Roderick Strong yesterday lost his title unification match against North American champion Carmelo Hayes.

The match kicked off the NXT New Year’s Evil special on USA Network and it ended the leader of The Diamond Mine’s 104-day title reign.

The Cruiserweight title was rebranded from WWE to NXT in October 2019 and was only defended on NXT and 205 Live. Since then, eight different champions held the title, including Hayes with yesterday’s win.

Lio Rush, Angel Garza, Jordan Devlin, Santos Escobar, Kushida, and Roderick Strong made up the list of champions of this NXT version of the title.

The title was originally brought back in 2016 with the Cruiserweight Classic, with TJ Perkins winning the tournament and the title.

Hayes will now be referred to only as the North American champion moving forward.

Jake Atlas comes out of retirement and signs with All Elite Wrestling

Former WWE star Jake Atlas, who appeared in a match on AEW Dark this week, has signed with All Elite Wrestling.

His signing was announced by AEW President Tony Khan who tweeted, “Congratulations on winning your tryout match last night, Jake Atlas! What a great @AEW debut, and now @kennymarquez, I’ll see you tomorrow night in Newark at the debut of #AEWDynamite on @TBSNetwork! Safe travels, and…Welcome to the team! #JakeAtlas is All Elite!”

The 27-year-old Atlas worked for WWE on the NXT brand between 2018 and 2021 and was released in August of last year. But in September, he announced that he would be retiring from professional wrestling citing mental health reasons. The Dark match which aired this week was actually taped in late December.

Dynamite moves to TBS starting tonight

Professional wrestling comes back to TBS starting tonight for the first time in almost 21 years as AEW Dynamite shifts from TNT to its new home.

The move to TBS will see Dynamite getting less, or close to zero, preemptions when there are major sports events that typically bump wrestling shows and the move also means that fans on the West Coast will get to see Dynamite in prime time, albeit on delay, rather than live at 5PM which affected viewership.

Tonight’s broadcast from the Prudential Center in Newark will be headlined by the AEW World title rematch between Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson and this time there will be a winner even if the match goes to a time-limit draw.

A new TBS champion will also be crowned as Jade Cargill and Ruby Soho battle in the final of the TBS title tournament while The Lucha Bros defend their AEW Tag Team titles against Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. The other match announced so far is Malakai Black vs Brian Pillman Jr.

Rick Steiner celebrates with his son after NXT title win

Former WWE and WCW Tag Team champion Rick Steiner celebrated his son’s title victory last night after New Year’s Evil went off the air.

Steiner, who has not appeared on WWE television since he and his brother Scott left the company in 1994, embraced Breakker as the NXT crowd gave them a standing ovation. Steiner held up his son’s hands and then did his trademark bark, joined by the fans and Breakker himself.

Tommaso Ciampa said last year that Steiner was supposed to show up at the Halloween Havoc event but then changed his mind with Ciampa joking that he probably had a change of heart when he found out that his son was not winning the title.

The off the air video was published by WWE on social media, and it’s the first time they publicly acknowledged the relationship between the two even though commentators always hinted at that without saying it outright.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson even commented on the Instagram video, saying, “Very f*cking cool.”

You can see the video below.

Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks tests positive for COVID-19

Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be missing tonight’s Dynamite debut episode on TBS.

His brother Nick will also not appear on the show according to the Wrestling Observer as he was with him for a long period of time so to be safe, both men are off. Nick had already tested positive for coronavirus late last year.

Brandon Cutler has also tested positive for COVID-19 and just like The Bucks, he will not be able to be part of tonight’s broadcast.

Thankfully, The Young Bucks were not scheduled to wrestle on either Dynamite nor Rampage so it did not result in any major script changes. The duo are currently in a program with Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly.

Bron Breakker wins NXT title at New Year’s Evil

Second time was the charm for Bron Breakker as the rookie dethroned Tommaso Ciampa yesterday at New Year’s Evil to become the new NXT champion.

Headlining the show, Ciampa tapped out after Breakker first hit his father’s flying bulldog move off the second rope and then locked him in his uncle’s Steiner Recliner to finish him.

Yesterday’s match capped off a rather quick rise to the top for the 24-year-old Breakker, who only made his debut on NXT 2.0 in mid-September. His first title shot came a month later at Halloween Havoc but Ciampa managed to get that one, ending Breakker’s undefeated streak.

The main event aired commercial free on USA Network. You can check out the ending below.

NXT New Year’s Evil live tonight on USA Network

Tonight’s NXT will be the New Year’s Evil themed episode live from the Performance Center and the show is expected to have limited commercials throughout the two-hour broadcast.

Four matches have been announced, three of which are championship matches. The NXT North American title and the Cruiserweight title will be unified with Carmelo Hayes taking on Roderick Strong and the winner taking both titles. NXT Women’s champion Mandy Rose will defend her title against Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez in a triple threat match, and Tommaso Ciampa puts his NXT title on the line against Bron Breakker in a rematch from Halloween Havoc.

The other match announced is a six-man tag match with MSK teaming up with Riddle to take on Imperium. Plus, the Phenomenal AJ Styles will be in the house as his feud with Grayson Waller continues.

Alexa Bliss returning to Raw

Alexa Bliss will be making her return on WWE television over the next couple of weeks with several segments planned on Monday Night Raw showing her journey back in WWE.

Bliss has not been seen on WWE television since the end of September after losing a Raw Women’s title match against Charlotte Flair. At Extreme Rules, Flair destroyed Alexa’s doll Lilly following her win, leaving Bliss crying in the middle of the ring.

Bliss in reality had to undergo sinus surgery, a surgery which enlarges the openings between the sinuses for easier breathing among other things. Typical recovery time for such surgery is usually around two months.

The former champ kept her supernatural gimmick despite not being associated with The Fiend anymore so it will be interesting to see which version of Alexa Bliss returns.

WWE champion Brock Lesnar to appear on Smackdown this Friday

Despite being WWE champion on the Raw brand, Brock Lesnar is still considered to be a “free agent” in the WWE Universe and will be appearing on Smackdown this coming Friday.

Closing last night’s show while watching Lashley win, Brock told Kevin Patrick that he would see Roman Reigns this Friday. Reigns tested positive for COVID-19 and had to pull out of the scheduled match between the two at Day 1.

In a tweet on Saturday, Reigns said he got coronavirus on the day and the new CDC guidelines suggest only five days of quarantine. With day one of quarantine starting on Sunday, Reigns would be able to appear, assuming he tests negative, on Friday since day five of quarantine would be Thursday.

Lesnar wished Roman well during Raw, complete with a wink, and took a shot at Reigns by telling the South Carolina fans to acknowledge him. Heyman also had a shot at his former client, saying in the week that Reigns got rid of him, he caught corona.

First entrants and matches for the 2022 Royal Rumble announced

The first entrants of this year’s Royal Rumble were announced on Monday Night Raw as the build towards the road to WrestleMania kicks off.

Austin Theory, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Angelo Dawkins, and Montez Ford all threw in their names in the hat and Jackass star Johnny Knoxville will also be involved in the match. That makes six participants announced so far for the men’s match.

No participants for the women’s match were announced but speaking of women, Raw Women’s champion Becky Lynch will be defending her title on the show against the winner of a triple threat match between Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair, and Doudrop.

And there will be a mixed tag team match at the Rumble as well as the feud between Edge and The Miz continues with the addition of the their respective wives Beth Phoenix and Maryse.

LOS ANGELES (January 4, 2022) – AXS TV, a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment, Inc., announces the return of New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) to the Network’s lineup with classic episodes beginning January 20 and all-new weekly programs premiering Thursday, March 3 at 10 p.m. ET. NJPW joins AXS TV’s fully-loaded Thursday night wrestling lineup, which also includes IMPACT Wrestling’s flagship series IMPACT! airing at 8 p.m. ET. AXS TV had previously aired a popular weekly NJPW series from 2015-2019. The official announcement was made this morning during NJPW’s premier global Wrestle Kingdom event.

The agreement gives AXS TV the option to air encore presentations of past NJPW broadcasts from its five-year run on the Network, bringing even more exclusive NJPW action to subscribers across the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. The move also includes Anthem sister station Fight Network, allowing the premier combat sports outlet to share this slate of new and classic NJPW content to viewers throughout Canada, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, as well.

The upcoming series features all-new episodes of world-class New Japan Pro-Wrestling action, bolstering an already-impressive wrestling lineup with one hour of exclusive content compiling the absolute best moments from the iconic promotion’s most recent broadcasts. Now, AXS TV can further deliver to our fans by sharing all the spectacle and action that NJPW is known for, when NJPW returns on AXS TV on January 20th.”

“2021 was a landmark year in terms of breaking down the ‘Forbidden Door’ of professional wrestling,” said Scott D’Amore, EVP of Content Creation for Anthem’s Sports Group. “IMPACT and New Japan have played a key role in that, forging a strong inter-promotional relationship that resulted in some unforgettable moments for wrestling enthusiasts around the world. There is a great deal of support and synergy between the two companies, and we could not be more proud to have them back on AXS TV as they prepare to celebrate an incredible milestone in NJPW history. How can you find the right CBD product for your pet?

CBD-infused products can benefit pets in various ways, from relieving pain to reducing anxiety. But with the growing popularity of CBD products comes the challenge of finding the right product for your pet. This article will provide insight into what you need to know when choosing a certified CBD consultant for your pet.

1) Decide What Kind of CBD Product You Need

When trying to find the right CBD-infused product, you must first decide what kind of product you’re looking for. There are four different CBD products: tinctures, capsules, treats, and topicals.

CBD tinctures are a great option if you want to medicate your pet regularly and don’t mind the taste of hemp oil. Tinctures come in many flavors and can be flavored with other ingredients such as vanilla or chicken.

CBD capsules are a great option if you have a picky pet that doesn’t want to eat treats or food flavored with hemp oil. Capsules can be an effective way to meditate on an as-needed basis since you don’t need to give your dog medicine every day.

CBD treats are perfect for dogs who love to eat and do anything for a tasty snack. These treats are flavored with hemp oil, but they still taste delicious. This makes them the easiest way to medicate your pet regularly.

CBD topicals are great for pets that have skin issues such as itching, hair loss, and other conditions that can be relieved by CBD. Topicals come in the form of lotions, shampoos, and conditioners.

2) Consider the Size and Weight of Your Pet

When choosing a CBD product, you must also consider the size and weight of your pet. Not all products are created equal; some are designed for small pets while others are designed for large dogs. Another thing to consider is the dosage of CBD your pet needs. A certified CBD consultant can help you with that.

This varies based on your pet’s size, weight, and desired dosage. While one milligram (mg) per kilogram (kg) is generally considered safe, you may want to talk to a veterinarian before beginning any new medication.

3) Determine the Best Route of Administration

The next thing you need to consider when choosing a CBD product is the best route of administration. The four types of CBD products are all administered differently.

CBD tinctures are taken sublingually or under the tongue. This is the best way to ensure that your pet receives the total dosage of CBD.

Capsules can be given to your pet orally or inserted into food. This is an effective way to meditate on an as-needed basis.

Treats can be fed directly or hidden in a small piece of kibble. Just make sure that the treatment only contains CBD and not harmful fillers or byproducts from other ingredients, especially if your pet has allergies or sensitivities.

Topicals are applied directly to the skin to absorb quickly and effectively. Topicals are great for pets with severe conditions, but you should always consult a veterinarian before beginning a new medication.

4) Get Expert Online Vet Consultation

With the growing popularity of CBD products comes a growing number of pet owners who want to try these products for their pets. However, not everyone has access to high-quality, adequately labeled, and tested CBD oil safe for pets.

That’s where an online CBD consultation comes in. Requesting a consultation with a qualified and certified vet is easy. Your information will be kept entirely confidential and only used for veterinary purposes. All consultations are strictly private, so you can request one without worrying about anyone knowing what you’re doing.

An online vet consultation is the best way to ensure that you’re giving your pet the safest and most effective CBD product possible. Qualified vets can help you choose the right product, dosage, and route of administration for your pet. They can also provide information on the many benefits of CBD oil for pets.
