Jake Atlas comes out of retirement and signs with All Elite Wrestling

Former WWE star Jake Atlas, who appeared in a match on AEW Dark this week, has signed with All Elite Wrestling.

His signing was announced by AEW President Tony Khan who tweeted, “Congratulations on winning your tryout match last night, Jake Atlas! What a great @AEW debut, and now @kennymarquez, I’ll see you tomorrow night in Newark at the debut of #AEWDynamite on @TBSNetwork! Safe travels, and…Welcome to the team! #JakeAtlas is All Elite!”

The 27-year-old Atlas worked for WWE on the NXT brand between 2018 and 2021 and was released in August of last year. But in September, he announced that he would be retiring from professional wrestling citing mental health reasons. The Dark match which aired this week was actually taped in late December.
