After six months off television, Mustafa Ali made his return on Raw last night, interrupting the Miz TV segment with Miz and U.S. champion Theory.
Ali requested a title match but Theory denied it, instead putting The Miz in a match against Ali. Ali’s absence was referred to by The Miz, who passed a few comments to Ali, including asking him if he still worked there after he showed up.
Miz also told Ali that he is going to wish he received his walking papers as he was going to beat him, but it was Ali who walked out with the victory.
Ali publicly requested his WWE release in January 2022 but that request was denied. He often aired his frustrations on Twitter and was kept off television after a rumored backstage argument with Vince McMahon over the direction of his character.
Following an absence of nine months, former Raw Women’s champion Asuka made her return to Monday Night Raw last night, confronting Becky Lynch.

They say they used to watch Randy when they were 15 years old, and Jimmy asks Jey what his favorite Randy Orton moment was, and it was when they beat them.

Tonight’s show and the ones on May 2 and May 9 will be airing on OLN Canada instead of Sportsnet 360. Sportsnet subs can also stream Raw live on the SN NOW app by logging in with their credentials for their TV provider.
Instead, Sportsnet 360 will air NHL’s Flyers vs Blackhawks tonight and next week will broadcast a Stanley Cup playoff.
Raw will return on Sportsnet 360 with the May 16 episode.
It was 20 years ago, on April 25, 2002 when Randy Orton made his WWE debut against Hardcore Holly on Smackdown. Fast forward two decades and WWE will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Randy Orton tonight live on Monday Night Raw. What’s in store for this celebration remains to be seen but it’s likely that an RKO or two will be on the menu for some unsuspecting individuals!
Raw Women’s champion Bianca Belair will certainly be given a hero’s welcome in her hometown as she defends the title against Sonya Deville and former champion herself Becky Lynch returns on television for the first time since WrestleMania. Also scheduled for tonight’s broadcast is an arm wrestling match between Bobby Lashley and Omos.
There are also rumors that Asuka and even Mustafa Ali will be returning on Raw tonight but those remain just rumors and nothing has been confirmed.
Have you ever wondered why Australians address it as pokie when the rest of the world calls it slot machine? Is not it an interesting fact? If you want to know the probable reasons behind the name Pokie, make sure to go through this guide until the end.
The history of slot machines in Australia
If you are a true gambler, especially a slot machine lover, you must already know that the first-ever slot machine was invented in the United States. It was the beginning of the 20th century when slot machines first appeared in the land of Australia. However, it was not legal from that very beginning. For half of the century, playing slot machines was illegal in Australia. But with the ongoing love and addiction to slot machines, the Australian government soon realized the importance and future of slot machines in this country.
Around the 1950s, a renowned casino company in Australia named Aristocrat developed and published its very first slot machine game called Clubman. As soon as Clubman was released, people fell in love with this game. As a result, the Aussie Government finally legalized slot machines only in some clubs, not all over Australia. It was the first sunshine for pokie lovers when everything started to change for the first time in a while.
However, the slot machines of the 50s were nothing compared to today’s pokies. With time, developers successfully developed so many new pokies and introduced so many technologies and software in this world. The real revolution in the world of Aussie pokies or slot machines first started in 2004. Consequently, it is the era of mobile and online pokies that gamblers from all over the country seem to enjoy thoroughly.
Now that you have understood how slot machines entered the world of Australian casinos, it is time to find out the origin behind its cute little nickname, pokie. If you are from Australia, you must know the love of Australians for abbreviated words. Australia loves to abbreviate everything and anything as far as possible. For example, they call mosquitoes mozzies. Therefore, when they discovered that slot machines are also addressed as poker machines, no wonder why did they choose this little abbreviated form of poker. Over time, Pokie became widespread among all Aussie punters.
But, now, the question is why these machines are referred to as poker machines, in spite of being a lot similar to slot machines. Well, the answer is simple! It is because it has always been in this way.
A few years back, when there were no online pokies or other casino games available, gamblers visited clubs and Aussie pubs to play casual pokies. However, these days, free online pokies have become the number one favorite online casino game of thousands of Aussie gamblers. Check out the best collection of online pokies only at Betsquare.com.
Besides Australia, in New Zealand, you can see a distinctive use of the word pokie. If you ask someone about pokies in any name of these two countries, you will get an instant reply for sure.
Other casino slang around the world
Casino and gambling, being widely spread events, receive so many names and addresses from different sections of gamblers from all over the world. Therefore, wherever you go, you can find different unique names for gambling.
For example, in England, slot machines are called “Fruit machines” or “Fruitis,” whereas, in Scotland, it is known as “Puggy.” On the other hand, Americans call European football “Soccer,” whereas Italians address it as “Calco.”
So, as you can see, not only Australians are in this practice. People worldwide give unique names to things to describe their culture and trends.
Conclusion
So, it was, in short, all possible reasons behind why Australians address slot machines as pokies. So, as you can see, there is no particular or revolutionary reason behind the name pokie. It only shows their cultural status, and with time, the pokie has set quite a benchmark around the world. Get your hands on the best games and enjoy a relaxing time playing today.
Tammy “Sunny” Sytch blamed a “light” heart attack which caused her to crash into another car in front of her which resulted into the death of a 75-year-old man.
Sytch, responding to a tweet from someone asking how fast she was driving when she slammed into the car who was stopped at a traffic light, said, “Hmmm about 10 since I was slowing down.”
That contradicts several eye witness accounts who said that she was driving at a very high speed before she crashed into the stationary car. Besides, driving at “10” will unlikely cause death when slamming into someone else’s car.
Sytch is still out roaming free despite causing the fatal crash as the Ormond Beach Police Department is still waiting for the complete toxicology report.
The family of the victim, Julian L. Lasseter, filed a civil lawsuit against Sytch and her boyfriend last week.
United States champion Austin Theory dissed a John Cena fan at a non-televised event this weekend, uploaded the video on his Twitter, and then wished John Cena a happy birthday.
Theory saw the very young ringside fan wearing John Cena gear booing him and went next to him, lifted the United States title and said, “Boo! That makes me better than John Cena,” pointing at the title. The little kid then continued to boo as Theory walked away.
Uploading the video on his Twitter and tagging Cena, Theory wished him happy birthday and said “Sorry I’m a better U.S champ than you…”
Cena took note of the tweet and even replied to Theory.
“Everyone understands that you have far more talent, strength, and gifts than I ever had. Don’t apologize for that. Ever,” Cena responded. “An apology should come 20 years from now if you fail to provide the EFFORT needed to turn your potential into your legacy. I hope that day never comes.”
There are rumors that Theory is in line for a big push as he’s a favorite of Vince McMahon.
KNOXVILLE (April 19, 2022) — On June 11th 2022, The National Wrestling Alliance will continue to honor the history of its storied 73 years existence by returning to its Tennessee roots, this time at the Knoxville Convention Center. Upon taking control of the National Wrestling Alliance, NWA President William Patrick Corgan made a commitment to honoring the legacy of the famed organization, and the ALWAYZ READY PPV event along with the next days NWA Powerrr taping will continue to bring that legacy to the modern era.

Now all that’s left is for the champion to be ready to live up to his requests.”
When asked for his thoughts on the honor being bestowed upon him, Cardona declared “Did Ric Flair ever have an event named after him? No. Did Harley Race? Never. As the only REAL World’s Champion I am honored to have this event named after me because I earned this all by myself. Everyone should know they have to be a part of this once in a lifetime event to share in me elevating the NWA to new greatness.”

He wrestled, and lost to, Mansoor that night and was later decked by Olympic silver medalist Tareg Hamedi. SummerSlam at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, is off to a bit of a slow start when it comes to ticket sales.
According to ticket tracking service @WrestleTix, WWE moved just over 19,000 tickets in the first few days of sales. Almost all of floor seats are still available in every section and the absolute majority of sales were in the 100 and 200 levels.
It’s interesting to note that the stadium, which holds well over 60,000 fans, is configured for just under 35,000 and half of it will be closed off.
With this setup, @WrestleTix reports that there’s around 15,400 tickets still available for this show as of now. More sections will be opened if ticket sales pick up over the next couple of months but judging by this first count, it looks like that won’t be the case.
SummerSlam will be held earlier this year, on Saturday, July 30, due to the other WWE premium live event in Cardiff on September 3.
Impact Wrestling will be celebrating 20 years this coming June with Slammiversary on pay-per-view.
The show will take place from Nashville, Tennessee, on June 19, but an exact location has not been revealed. Tickets go on sale this Friday at ImpactWrestling.com.
The June 19 date is the exact date that Impact, then as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling operating under the NWA banner, had their first show on PPV back in 2002. The weekly shows were held at the Tennessee State Fairground Sports Arena in Nashville which was later nicknamed the TNA Asylum.
The Slammiversary pay-per-view has been a yearly production for the company since 2003 with the first main event being Jeff Jarrett and Sting vs AJ Styles and Syxx-Pac.
Here are the results from last night’s Rebellion 2022 pay-per-view which took place from the Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center in Poughkeepsie, New York.

After knocking out Dillian Whyte last night at Wembley in front of a sold out crowd of 94,000 people, the WBC Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury said in the post-match press conference that he has set his eyes on WWE now.
“Don’t rule me out of fighting there,” he said, when asked by a journalist about the upcoming Cardiff show. “You might see me at SummerSlam coming up soon, I gotta speak to Vince and the boys.”
Elaborating further, Fury continued, “Drew McIntyre has been saying things about me. I have to knock him out, like I did to his pal,” he said, referring to his match against Braun Strowman.
“You know, I love to be at Cardiff, I love to be back at center stage in UK especially in wrestling. I enjoyed it last time in Saudi Arabia, it was fantastic so to come here and do it would be phenomenal,” Fury added.
The Gypsy King said he’s “definitely” going to make contact with WWE and “make that SummerSlam thing a reality.”
Roman Reigns has crossed the 600-day mark as a champion in WWE and there doesn’t seem like there’s anything stopping The Tribal Chief!
Reigns won the Universal title at Payback 2020, defeating Braun Strowman and The Fiend, just a week after his surprise return at SummerSlam.
Since then, Reigns went on to participate in 18 premium live events, headlining the absolute majority of those shows. As champion, Reigns went through Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, Edge, Cesaro, Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Finn Balor, Bobby Lashley, Sami Zayn, Goldberg, and Brock Lesnar.
Reigns became the undisputed WWE Universal champion at WrestleMania, beating Brock Lesnar to unify the titles. As Universal champion, Reigns sits #2 in the chart of combined reigns, with 662 days and counting, less than a month away from beating Lesnar’s record which stands at 688 days over three separate reigns.

Former two-time WWE champion Drew McIntyre is making the push to get Tyson Fury back in WWE.
Fury will be boxing Dillian Whyte tonight at a packed Wembley Stadium in London, England for the WBC Heavyweight title which Fury currently holds and McIntyre is expecting Fury to win.
“All I’ll say to Tyson is, don’t screw it up. Don’t screw it up. Get through this fight, win it, and then give us a call,” McIntyre told Sky Sports. “We’ll figure out if it can happen in Cardiff!”
There are rumors that WWE is trying to get Fury to face McIntyre at the upcoming UK stadium show in Cardiff in September and the two have been going at it on social media for a while, giving each other stick.
“Somehow he ducks me, he’s the world’s largest ninja,” joked McIntyre. “I’m a big fan of his. He’s highly entertaining, he’s such an attraction and that’s why I’m always saying to him, ‘Hey, the door’s always open in WWE. The ball is in your court.'”
Fury last appeared for WWE in November of 2019 during an episode of Monday Night Raw from Manchester.
Tonight’s boxing at Wembley will have an estimated crowd of 94,000, the largest ever crowd in post-war Britain at the national stadium.
Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and The Undertaker all recorded video messages supporting Fury prior to him taking the ring tonight.
