WWE building a new Performance Center in Orlando

Appearing on The Nightcap YouTube show with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson in Las Vegas ahead of the Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford boxing fight, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque revealed that WWE is in process of building a new Performance Center.

The current WWE Performance Center was the brainchild of Triple H back in 2013 and was a state-of-the-art facility at the time, with seven wrestling rings, training room, weight room, and everything you can imagine inside a 26,000 square foot building.

But the training facility was gutted when the COVID pandemic hit and WWE turned its main building into a live arena, where shows are still being held there for NXT.

Triple H said that the new PC will still be in Orlando but it’s “bigger and better” than the current L-shaped one they have located on Forsyth Commerce Road.

He did not reveal where it is or a time frame for completion.

He is the first one who jumped back to WWE from AEW and was released.

Negative online reaction dampens WrestleMania 43 announcement

WrestleMania 43

WWE keeps getting a lot of negative reactions for their WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia announcement and the recap video which aired during the Worlds Collide show last night was met with a lot of boos and “you sold out” chants from the Vegas crowd.

The live announcement on YouTube also had several negative feedback in the live chat yesterday and with over 600,000 views so far, the entry only has 14,500 likes. A service which reveals how many dislikes a YouTube video has shows that the WrestleMania announcement has nearly 39,000 dislikes on it.

There are rumors that WWE was paid in the region of $250 million to bring WrestleMania to Riyadh in 2027, far eclipsing any other fee which WWE received in its existence. In comparison, every single WrestleMania from 1985 until this year drew $400 million in ticket sales adjusted to today’s dollar according to Wrestlenomics, so their site fee alone will be over half of that for one event.

WWE currently receives $50 million per every show produced in Saudi Arabia and it’s believed that they’re also getting $100 million for the Royal Rumble in January 2026.

Cody Rhodes addresses the crowd after Smackdown

“I just wanna tell you, it’s been one hell of a month for me,” Rhodes told the crowd. “I had a new baby girl, Leilani…I got cast as Guile in Street Fighter…and tonight I got to come back home. Thank you guys very, very, very much!”

Rhodes dropped to his knees and kissed the mat and then saluted the crowd by posing on the turnbuckles as fans sang along to his theme song.

“More than just a workplace, this office marks a key step in strengthening our presence in the MENA region – bringing us closer to our partners,” she said.

WWE announced yesterday that WrestleMania 43 will be heading to Saudi Arabia in 2027, an announcement which did not go over very well with online fans. The press conference was held at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel and casino yesterday in the presence of the Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh.

The company is in its eighth of the 10-year deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a deal which calls for two premium live events per year amounting to $50 million each.

Cody Rhodes returns on Smackdown, challenges Drew McIntyre at Wrestlepalooza

The American Nightmare returned yesterday on Smackdown after over a month out and challenged Drew McIntyre to a match at Wrestlepalooza.

Rhodes came out after McIntyre defeated Randy Orton in the main event of the show, which saw McIntyre continued his attack post-match. Before McIntyre kicked Orton into the commentary booth like he did to Cody last month, Cody’s theme hit the speakers and out ran the champion.

The two brawled in the ring and Cody hit the Cody Cutter on McIntyre before the Scotsman retreated. Cody then grabbed the mic and told him the champ is back and they can dance at Wrestlepalooza.

Cody was out filming Street Fighter in Queensland, Australia which is why he was absent from WWE television for over a month. Cody also missed the birth of his second daughter due to his filming commitments.

Dirty Dom Mysterio becomes the new AAA Mega champion at Worlds Collide

WWE AAA

Dominik Mysterio is the new AAA Mega champion after he defeated El Hijo del Vikingo last night at Worlds Collide: Las Vegas.

The almost 20-minute main event had the interference from Finn Balor and JD McDonagh but the odds were evened when Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio came to the aid of Vikingo.

Unfortunately for Vikingo, there was also El Grande Americano, who broke up a pinfall victory by pulling the ref out. Vikingo tried to remove his mask, but missed seeing Americano slipping something to Guerrero, who put it in his mask and then hit Vikingo with it. A frog splash and three seconds later, and Dirty Dom was crowned the new champion.

After the match, Rey Mysterio handed the AAA Mega title to Dom but Dom insisted that he wraps it around his waist, which Rey reluctantly did. Dom then kicked Rey out of the ring and celebrated with the rest of Judgment Day and Americano.

Dom is now a double champ, holding the AAA Mega title and the WWE Intercontinental title.

Nikki Bella talks preparing for her match against Asuka and reuniting with AJ Lee

On today’s episode of SiriusXM’s The Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki Garcia opened up about her match with Asuka, reuniting with AJ Lee and more.

Nikki Garcia on preparing for her match with Asuka (7:08-9:14)

Nikki Garcia: I found about having that match against Asuka, I think it was like Saturday evening, so I just remember, I’m like, “Oh my god, I leave the next day. I don’t have time. I have Teo. I don’t have time to think about what gear am I gonna wear. I’m just gonna throw in my Paris gear.” Not only that Brie, and you get this especially at our age, but anyone will understand this, especially athletes. So, because we just came back from Paris, I was like, “Okay. This is gonna be my carb week. I’m gonna have carbs. I’m also gonna still keep my all my proteins in and I’m not gonna shy away from dessert,” because I was like, “I’m won’t even have a match Monday, so I’ll be fine.” So, Saturday evening when I’m sitting there and I’m like, because at our age it’s not just quickly to lean out. I then was obviously so good Sunday, Monday, but I was like, “Oh my gosh.” So, now I’ve realized during this comeback, I can’t do carb weeks anymore or have three cheat days in a row.

Brie Garcia: Yeah, you need one cheat day a week.

Nikki Garcia: It has to be on Tuesday and that’s it. So, that freaked me out a little, but just more on an aesthetic level and my appearance, but I was excited because Asuka’s obviously one of the best wrestlers in the world for women and the last time she and I, we’ve never had a match, but she and I were both the final two pf the first ever women’s Royal Rumble, so that and think how long ago that was, so I was like, “Oh my gosh.” You know, I called you immediately feeling the nerves, so my whole Sunday traveling to Milwaukee, I think I’ve watched every Asuka match in history.

Brie Garcia: Good though.

Nikki Garcia: No, it was great. I wanted to know all the little things about her. Just absolutely everything. You know, I already know how she’s working right now, but I just wanted to see everything. So, I literally have caught every single Asuka match ever. That was my full Sunday of travel.

Nikki Garcia on reuniting with AJ Lee (24:31-25:43)

Nikki Garcia: AJ’s back, and so she and I were chatting for a bit backstage, and we both were just saying, you know, how crazy it is, but she was like, “I just love that you’re here, why I’m back,” and I’m like, “No, I’m so happy you’re back,” and I’m like, “We both look so good. Us Latinas.” It was great talking to her. It just took me back. When she and I were chatting, it took me back to back in the day and I actually hope we get a moment because when you think about it, everyone’s talking about it on the internet and it is true. I mean, we were so much of each other’s most important stories at that time with the Divas Championship before she had left and even with you and Paige, it was so much about us, and so the fact that we both are there. We have to have a moment. I feel even this Monday, we should have a moment backstage, but in who we are as characters, but I know obviously they’re focused with that, but I’m hoping at some point we have that interaction because I know the fans would love it and it would be fun.

The Nikki & Brie Show hosted by Nikki & Brie Garcia is available anytime on the SiriusXM app. New episodes every Monday and Thursday. Listen to the full episode here.
