Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, AEW star Darby Allin noted the difference in the locker room from a few years back to today, saying that now everyone is on the same page and the vibe is amazing.
“I’m not just saying that. But like you say, like a few years ago, it was like, you definitely felt like just this tension. But now it’s like, everybody’s on the same page,” Allin said.
He said that a lot of people truly have to understand how good they have it in AEW, because AEW President Tony Khan wants everyone to be happy.
“And I feel like it’s like right now, more than ever, everybody’s on the same wavelength. Everybody has the same goals,” he continued.
Asked by Helwani what changed, Allin answered point blank.
“The cancer got cut out,” he bluntly said.
Asked to elaborate, Allin attributed it to “just egotistical wrestlers that don’t want to lose,” including people who “came in” over the previous years.
Helwani specifically asked if he was referring to CM Punk but Allin said no, noting the two are friends. He said some people work out better in AEW, some people work out better in WWE or NJPW or TNA and that’s just the way it is.
“And at the end of the day, this is all staged. It’s the greatest thing in the world, but it’s staged. So if you’re going to have an ego about that, get out of the f*cking sport, go be in the UFC,” Allin said. “This is about having fun. This is about like just putting on a good energy and like, it’s like, come on, man, just stop.”
Ridge Holland has announced via a post on social media that his contract is not being renewed when it expires on November 14.
Holland, who is out on the sidelines after suffering an injury during a TNA match against Moose, said that the company is still going to cover his rehab and any costs related to his injury, but his guaranteed pay will end.
“Quite frustrating to say the least as I cannot work for another 6 months due to the aforementioned injury, with a family of 5 to support,” the Brit wrote.
“My career with WWE has been blighted by misfortune but I’m still thankful and grateful for the opportunity and experience. The shining light that has always kept me going is the HUGE support from a handful of special human beings,” he continued.
Holland signed with WWE in 2018, starting in NXT before moving to Smackdown and eventually returning to NXT in 2023. He is a former NXT Tag Team champion with Andre Chase.
Wrestling is an intense, high-impact sport that challenges strength, endurance, and resilience. Proper recovery is critical for athletes to repair muscles, reduce inflammation, and maintain peak performance.
While traditional methods often rely on animal-based proteins and supplements, plant-based solutions are increasingly recognized for their effectiveness and sustainability. Foods rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds, and plant proteins can support faster recovery, improve energy levels, and enhance health.
For wrestlers, integrating plant-based nutrition, functional foods, and natural remedies into daily routines provides a holistic approach, allowing the body to recover efficiently while minimizing the physical and mental strain of training.
Optimizing Post-Workout Nutrition
After an intense wrestling session, replenishing nutrients is crucial for recovery. Plant-based options such as lentils, chickpeas, quinoa, and tofu provide complete proteins necessary for muscle repair.
Pairing these proteins with complex carbohydrates like sweet potatoes, brown rice, or whole-grain bread ensures glycogen stores are replenished, restoring energy levels. Incorporating antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables, such as berries, spinach, and kale, helps combat oxidative stress caused by high-intensity training.
Hydration is equally important, and natural plant-based beverages, including coconut water and herbal teas, offer electrolytes and support fluid balance. By strategically combining these elements, wrestlers can maximize recovery while reducing inflammation and muscle fatigue.
Using CBD for Recovery
CBD has gained attention among wrestlers and other athletes for its potential to support recovery by easing muscle soreness, reducing inflammation, and improving rest quality. Many athletes explore options like CBD flower for sale to find natural ways to manage the physical stress that comes with intense training. Unlike THC, CBD doesn’t produce a high, allowing wrestlers to recover without mental impairment.
Studies suggest that CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system to promote balance, support sleep cycles, and alleviate discomfort. When used responsibly and alongside proper nutrition and hydration, CBD can complement a wrestler’s recovery plan and help maintain consistent performance throughout the season.
Anti-Inflammatory Plant Compounds
Inflammation is a natural response to rigorous training, but excessive inflammation can hinder performance and prolong recovery. Plant-based foods contain a variety of compounds, including polyphenols, flavonoids, and carotenoids, that reduce inflammatory responses. Turmeric, ginger, blueberries, and cherries have all been shown to lower markers of inflammation, alleviating joint discomfort and muscle soreness.
Incorporating these foods into daily meals or recovery smoothies provides a natural alternative to anti-inflammatory medications, supporting a healthier and more sustainable recovery process. Wrestlers can benefit from consuming these foods regularly to maintain joint mobility and well-being throughout the season.
Incorporating Functional Foods
Functional plant-based foods deliver specific health benefits beyond basic nutrition, supporting recovery in targeted ways. Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as chia seeds, flaxseeds, and walnuts, reduce inflammation and improve cardiovascular function, important for athletes with high endurance demands.
Beetroot, known for its nitrate content, enhances blood flow and oxygen delivery to muscles, promoting stamina and recovery. Mushrooms like reishi and shiitake offer adaptogenic properties that help the body respond to physical stress. Regular inclusion of these functional foods in a wrestler’s diet can accelerate recovery, improve performance, and enhance resilience against fatigue and injury.
Supporting Gut Health
A healthy gut contributes significantly to recovery, immunity, and energy levels. Plant-based diets rich in fiber from vegetables, fruits, legumes, and whole grains support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, which aid in nutrient absorption and inflammation regulation.
Fermented foods, including kimchi, sauerkraut, and miso, introduce probiotics that further strengthen gut health. For wrestlers, maintaining a balanced microbiome ensures efficient digestion, enhanced nutrient availability, and reduced risk of gastrointestinal distress, all of which play a vital role in recovery.
Hydration and Electrolyte Balance
Effective recovery extends beyond food to include proper hydration and electrolyte management. Plant-based solutions provide natural sources of potassium, magnesium, and sodium, crucial for fluid balance and muscle function.
Bananas, oranges, spinach, and coconut water replenish electrolytes lost through sweat, preventing cramping and fatigue. Herbal infusions and diluted fruit juices offer additional hydration with beneficial nutrients.
Wrestlers who integrate these plant-based hydration strategies can maintain energy, support muscle function, and reduce post-training soreness, making hydration an important component of a complete recovery plan.
Plant-based recovery strategies offer wrestlers an effective, sustainable approach to repair, performance, and long-term health. By prioritizing nutrient-dense foods, anti-inflammatory compounds, protein timing, functional foods, gut health, and hydration, athletes can optimize recovery without relying on animal products.
These strategies support muscle repair and reduce fatigue, and contribute to well-being and resilience. As more wrestlers explore plant-based solutions, it becomes clear that sustainable nutrition and athletic recovery can go hand in hand, allowing athletes to maintain peak performance and enjoy a healthier lifestyle on and off the mat.
Seth Rollins has been sporting a sling on his left arm in Perth since his match against Cody Rhodes on Saturday according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.
Rollins appeared to have injured his arm or shoulder when he did the coast-to-coast diving headbutt during the match, clutching it after the landing.
This might explain why The Vision turned on Rollins during Raw earlier today, with both Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed hitting their finisher on him in a shock ending after Raw’s credits rolled.
If Rollins’ injury is determined to keep him out for a long time, the title will have to be surrendered and he would be off television until he is cleared again.
Obviously, Rollins has already pulled a big ruse when he faked a knee injury, only to cash in at SummerSlam and win the WWE World Heavyweight title from CM Punk so news of any injury attributed to him at the moment is being taken with a grain of salt.
TNA Wrestling yesterday announced that Bound For Glory had an attendance of 7,794, breaking the North American record which was set at Slammiversary.
The announcement was made by Chris Bey, who appeared in front of fans and who is still recovering from career-ending surgery.
The Tsongas Center seats approximately 6,500 for hockey events and has a maximum of 7,800 for concerts. Considering the space used by the ring, announcers, etc, it’s unlikely that the real figure is just six shy of the arena’s maximum capacity.
The near 7,800 claimed record would mean that TNA moved nearly 2,000 tickets in the final day.
CM Punk earned a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight title after he defeated Jey Uso and LA Knight in a triple threat match on Raw earlier today which was held in Perth, Australia.
Punk pinned Uso following a GTS, even knocking Jey’s gold teeth grill from his mouth after he connected.
But the celebration turned ugly quickly after that as The Vision made their presence felt again. Breakker speared both Uso and Knight at ringside and then all of them surrounded Punk in the ring.
Punk tried to fight them off but got a spear and a Tsunami from Reed as Rollins told him it was his show and his company now.
Rollins had another one coming for him as well, and was left lying in the ring after Breakker and Reed turned on him too.
The two are expected to meet at the next Saturday Night’s Main Event in November.
During Raw, Michael Cole announced that they had a combined audience of 40,503 fans across three nights at the RAC Arena in Perth.
The weekend started on Friday with a live Smackdown which drew 13,083 fans. That was followed by Crown Jewel on Saturday with more in the arena for a total of 13,683. Today’s Raw was the most-attended out of the three broadcasts, with a slightly higher 13,737 fans in the arena.
With no cheap prices for any of the three shows, WWE raked in a couple of millions in gate money and merchandise flew off the shelves at the superstore.
WWE has one more show in Australia, a non-televised live event at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Wednesday where over 10,000 tickets have also been sold.
AEW star Konosuke Takeshita became the new IWGP Heavyweight champion after he defeated Zack Sabre Jr. at NJPW’s King of Pro Wrestling show today, an event held at the Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
The match was the main event of the broadcast and Takeshita won the hard-fought battle with two Powerdrive Knees.
After the match, Takeshita said that those who don’t like the result should come out and face him, with Hirooki Goto answering that call, challenging Takeshita at the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 event on January 4.
This is Takeshita’s first run with the IWGP Heavyweight title and ends Sabre’s reign at 106 days.
The Vision is apparently no longer being led by Seth Rollins as Monday Night Raw ended with a huge shock!
After Breakker, Reed, and Rollins took out CM Punk following his triple threat victory, Rollins gloated in the ring and with credits rolling, Bron Breakker speared the life out of an unsuspecting Rollins.
Breakker then faced Reed and Reed dragged Rollins to the corner and hit a Tsunami to a massive pop from the crowd.
A shocked Heyman tried to reason with his clients but Breakker bit back, took the WWE World Heavyweight championship from Rollins…and Heyman raised the arms of both Reed and Breakker to another big pop.
Seeds were being planted for a while regarding a turn and at the beginning of the show, Rollins said that he doesn’t need anyone, including Breakker, Reed, and Heyman, as he is capable of doing everything on his own.
Dwayne Johnson’s The Smashing Machine continued its horrendous run at the box office, losing 69% of the box office revenue from its first weekend to end the second weekend with just $1.8 million.
The movie, based on the life of MMA legend Mark Kerr, is still airing in 3,321 theaters across the United States, which makes the weekend figure even worse.
The Smashing Machine dropped to #8 on the chart in its second week and now has a total of $9,807,449 in total domestic gross.
It had a $50 million budget plus marketing, so this will surely be a big loss for studio A24.
Mike Santana won his first major singles title at Bound For Glory, successfully defeating champion Trick Williams to become the new TNA World champion.
After winning the match with the discus lariat, things got a little bit complicated as when TNA President Carlos Silva was handing over the title, there were two teases of cashing in the Call Your Shot gauntlet contract.
First it was Nic Nemeth, who came out with the trophy to spoil the party but the lights went out and Elias returned to take out the former Dolph Ziggler. Then, the other co-winner of the gauntlet match, Frankie Kazarian, tried to cash in but was unable to since he wasn’t in possession of the trophy. Santana then decked him to neutralize the threat.
After Santana was handed the title, his daughter joined him in the ring and he gave her the belt for a nice little moment.
This ends NXT’s Trick Williams 140-day reign as TNA champion, a reign which started at NXT Battleground this past May.
Santana also becomes the first Puerto Rican to win the TNA World title.
The Dudleys, referred to as such as well as Team 3D and wearing their WWE gear and glasses, retired from in-ring competition last night at Bound For Glory, handing over their boots to the Hardys.
Matt and Jeff successfully retained their TNA and NXT Tag Team titles in a tables match but it was the post-match stuff that fans will also remember.
All four embraced in the ring and fans started a “Thank you Dudleys” chant. The Hardys lifted their two sets of belt in front of Bubba Ray and D-Von and started to leave, but both were told to stay.
The Dudleys then untied their wrestling boots and removed them, handing them over to the Hardys in a symbolic move that means the end of their run. All of them hugged in the ring to end an emotional segment.
In related news, Spike Dudley, or Brother Runt, came out for the entrance and handed over the glasses to D-Von and Bubba Ray.
A number one contenders match for the WWE World Heavyweight title will take place on Raw today live from Perth, Australia.
The main event will pit LA Knight vs Jey Uso vs CM Punk in a triple threat match with the winner advancing to take on champion Seth Rollins, presumably at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event in November.
The news was announced by Raw General Manager himself Adam Pearce in a video posted on social media today.
Bronson Reed vs Jimmy Uso and Rhea Ripley vs Kairi Sane were also announced.
Raw will air at 8AM ET due to the time difference and it will be live on Netflix worldwide.
Monday Night Raw has a special start time of 8AM ET today in the United States and airs live worldwide on Netflix as well.
The show is the third and last one from the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, hence the time difference. In Europe, it will start at 1PM GMT and 2PM CET.
Apart from the fallout from Crown Jewel, there are only two things announced for the show so far, including Dominik Mysterio vs Penta for the WWE Intercontinental title and a tag team match with Bayley and Lyra Valkyria vs Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.
Here are the results from last night’s TNA Bound For Glory 2025 which took place live on pay-per-view from the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.
The IInspiration defeated The Elegance Brand to retain the TNA Knockouts Tag Team titles in the pre-show; Steve Maclin defeated Frankie Kazarian to become the new TNA International champion; Tessa Blanchard defeated Gia Miller; Frankie Kazarian and Nic Nemeth co-won the 22-person intergender Call Your Shot Gauntlet match; Kelani Jordan defeated Indi Hartwell to retain the TNA Knockouts title; The System defeated Order 4 in a 10-person intergender Hardcore War; Leon Slater vs Je’Von Evans for the TNA X-Division title ended in no contest; The Hardys defeated The Dudleys in a tables match to retain the TNA and NXT Tag Team titles; Mike Santana defeated Trick Williams to become the new TNA World champion.
Tessa Blanchard revealed that the reason she has not wrestled for TNA in three months is because she underwent a boob job.
Blanchard published a video on her YouTube channel titled, “I Got A Boob Job! The Big REVEAL,” and explained why she did it and why she is coming out with the story now.
Prior to the surgery, Blanchard said that she wasn’t sure she wanted to share it with everyone as it was a personal matter and was not sure how it would be received by the fans.
“But I’ve always tried to be real with the people who follow me. So, here it is…I have decided to get a boob job,” she said in the video. “This isn’t something that I’m doing for clout. This isn’t a gimmick. It’s not about trying to live up to someone else’s idea of beauty. It’s something that I’ve thought about for a long time and now I’m finally doing it…but for me.”
Blanchard traveled to Guadalajara, Mexico for the surgery and decided to do the video to control the narrative.
“Because there’s going to be a million people that, once something is public, anyone and everyone is allowed to have an opinion, right?” she continued. I don’t want this twisted into something that it’s not. This is for me. I feel happy.”
Blanchard returns to the ring for TNA tonight at Bound For Glory taking on Gia Miller. This will be her second match since undergoing breast enhancement surgery as she wrestled for CMLL on Friday night.
TNA has opened more seats for tonight’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view as it moved over 1,000 tickets over the past few days.
The show is standing at 6,000 tickets distributed according to @WrestleTix, with less than 500 tickets remaining on sale. The Tsongas Center can hold up to 7,400 seats.
Tickets are available starting from just $49.75 via evenue.net.
Slammiversary this past July drew a North American record for the company with 7,623 in attendance, a number they cannot break since even at full capacity, Tsongas Center holds less people.
Kota Ibushi confirmed in a post on social media that he underwent surgery to repair a fractured femur he suffered during his match against Josh Alexander during the Collision tapings on Wednesday.
It’s actually quite difficult to break your femur considering it’s the longest and strongest bone in the body and such injuries are typically sustained in car crashes or high-impact trauma.
Ibushi wrote that the broken bone was trying to poke through his skin and it will take over a year, possibly a year and a half, to return to action.
He thanked AEW President Tony Khan for sending him a bouquet of flowers and a personal note.
Live tonight from the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, TNA Wrestling presents Bound For Glory 2025 on pay-per-view and TNA+. The full card is as follows:

John Cena is down to his final four appearances in his 2025 retirement world tour, with all the remaining appearances now in the United States.
Yesterday’s show at Crown Jewel: Perth was his last overseas match and with his win against AJ Styles, Cena moved to 100 premium live events wins, moving to #2 chart behind The Undertaker at 107. With only one PLE left for Cena, there’s no chance of him matching or even surpassing Taker’s record.
Cena will be off television for the next month as his next televised appearance is on the November 10 episode of Monday Night Raw live from the TD Garden in Boston. Cena will also be at the following Raw on November 17 from Madison Square Garden in New York.
Cena’s last PLE will be at the Survivor Series on November 29 from Petco Park in San Diego and his final appearance will be Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 at Capital One Arena in Washington.
