The Dudleys retire, hand over their wrestling boots to The Hardys after tables match

The Dudleys, referred to as such as well as Team 3D and wearing their WWE gear and glasses, retired from in-ring competition last night at Bound For Glory, handing over their boots to the Hardys.

Matt and Jeff successfully retained their TNA and NXT Tag Team titles in a tables match but it was the post-match stuff that fans will also remember.

All four embraced in the ring and fans started a “Thank you Dudleys” chant. The Hardys lifted their two sets of belt in front of Bubba Ray and D-Von and started to leave, but both were told to stay.

The Dudleys then untied their wrestling boots and removed them, handing them over to the Hardys in a symbolic move that means the end of their run. All of them hugged in the ring to end an emotional segment.

In related news, Spike Dudley, or Brother Runt, came out for the entrance and handed over the glasses to D-Von and Bubba Ray.
