Tim Wiese, the former German national team goalkeeper, will be making his pro wrestling debut for WWE next month in his home country as the WWE European tour stops in Munich.
Wiese has been training at the WWE Performance Center for the past month and on November 3 he will be teaming up with Cesaro and Sheamus to take on Bo Dallas and the Shining Stars. Wiese said that it’s awesome to make his debut in his country and that he has worked hard for this moment, adding that he can’t wait to step inside a WWE ring with both Sheamus and Cesaro.
WWE offered Wiese a contract in late 2014 but he only accepted to travel across the pond in June of this year. WWE is known to give some of its developmental talent their debuts when they visit their countries on tour.
Prior to joining WWE, Wiese had a 14-year career in football, or soccer, and played for five different teams in Germany and has six caps for the German national team, even traveling with them to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
Following Goldberg’s appearance on ESPN SportsCenter on Wednesday and his pick of Brock Lesnar as a match he’d like to have if he returns, the advocate for the mayor of Suplex City, Paul Heyman, replied to Goldberg’s comments on social media.
“I would be remiss in saying I don’t owe Brock Lesnar a rematch. I was able to prosper and have my hand raised at the first meeting, and I think if I ever came back, that’d be the match,” Goldberg told Jonathan Coachman on Wednesday night.
Heyman replied on Twitter last night, respectfully suggesting to Goldberg not to confuse the fantasy of WWE 2K17 with “the reality that is Brock Lesnar.”
The word going around is that a match between the two is set for the Survivor Series next month to coincide with the hype of the video game.
The first episode of Total Bellas started with a bang, or should I say a bite. More about the bite later. The episode began with Nikki and Brie giving a brief recap of the events which led to the Bella Twins and their guys, John Cena and Daniel Bryan, ending up in the same house.
They spoke briefly about Nikki’s neck surgery which led to her desire to have her extended family, including her mom, Kathy, brother JJ, and Kathy’s boyfriend, John Laurinaitis, staying in the Cena home…I mean estate.
Wow! That house is huge. Indulgence seems to almost ooze from the crack under the large front door and drip from the black chandelier. Being a girl, I must comment on Nikki’s closet, any girl would swoon over the massive walk-in with rows and rows of fancy dresses and sparkly shoes. If I lived there I would certainly feel like a queen in a castle. But, if Nikki is queen, King Cena reigns supreme over this mansion.
The rule of King John is in evidence even before Brie and Daniel arrive at the house. As they leave Brie informs Daniel that she’s packing him a suit because John intends to have “Downtown Abbey style family dinners,” with everyone dressed in their finest clothes. I completely agree with Daniel Bryan’s response of “What, why do we have to change for dinner?” I’m sorry, John, but that’s a bit much.
When Brie, Daniel, and the rest of the Bella clan got to the Cena estate, they remembered another John Cena rule; remove your shoes before entering the house. What’s the deal with that? Is he that afraid of what people could drag in on the heels of their shoes? Shoes aren’t the only items not allowed in Cena’s house, apparently Brie and Daniel’s dog, Josie, was immediately banished to the guest house. However, I noticed that John and Nikki’s dog, Winston, was allowed in the house. Not fair at all, shame on you John!
With Josie safely secluded away far from the hallowed halls of the Cena estate, the rest of the Bella clan went down for the first fancy family dinner. Before they could enjoy the food, however, John had to lay down further ground rules for life with King Cena.
Some of John’s rules make some sense, if the gates close at a certain time, it is important that he is informed if someone is going to be late. But, some of the rules were just stupid, I mean required breakfast meetings? Is this a corporation or a family? I would feel trapped if it were me. Maybe, the Bella sisters did feel trapped, because they went to happy hour with their mom and brother.
John joined them there, but Daniel, was interestingly absent, which is probably why the subject of Brie and Daniel’s lack of offspring was almost instantly brought up by Cena. Brie claimed that she and Daniel were not pregnant yet because, “You have to have sex to get pregnant.” Thanks for stating the obvious, Brie. Apparently, the life of a wrestler does not leave time for long, slow, tender, lovemaking, and according to Brie, Daniel, “doesn’t know what a quickie is.”
A discussion then occurred between all the Bella ladies about how often they have sex and how long it takes their men to shall we say “get happy”. I’m sorry, but am I the only one who thinks it is so weird to tell your mom, and all of America, about what you and your partner do in the bedroom? I guess so.
The next day it seemed that Brie and Daniel’s pooch, Josie, had enough of King Cena’s banishing her to the guest house. As the rest of the family lounged by the pool, Josie tried to follow John inside the house. John put out his leg to stop her and got his leg bitten for his trouble. I don’t really blame the dog, seeing as how John makes his disdain for her quite obvious. Also, Josie is used to running free with Brie and Daniel at their home in Arizona. Now, at the Cena Manor, Josie is being confined and limited. So, I was shocked when John said that Nikki should, “Call animal control to come take the dog away.” Looks like Josie will never be John Cena’s best friend.
Luckily for Josie, animal control was busy handling a large alligator. Perhaps, because of this dangerous animal, or maybe in order to give their dog a little breathing room, Brie and Daniel tried to build a dog run in the yard, but were stopped by Nikki who reminded them that it was Cena’s house and Cena’s rules. Brie was upset by this saying, “Alright Cleopatra, go stooge on us to King Tut.”
Later, Brie did in fact tell John about the dog run, and Brie and Daniel’s discomfort with Cena’s rules. At least, Cena is honest.
”My name is John and I’m extremely difficult to live with.”
We’ll see if the rest of the Bella clan can manage to do just that. See you next week WWE Universe!
TNA had a major change in direction yesterday as the company pulled the title from Lashley with Eddie Edwards now the champion, winning the title during Impact.
Edwards pinned Lashley clean during the main event, certainly a surprise finish for everyone who was at the Impact Zone during the tapings which were held last Monday. This is Edwards’ third single title in TNA, however it’s his first World title reign. He previously won the X Division title twice.
Edwards debuted in TNA in 2014 along with Davey Richards as The Wolves and had a dominant stay as a tag team, winning the TNA tag team titles on five different occasions. Edwards lost the X Division title to Lashley in a Winner Takes All six sides of steel match and just last Sunday, he lost in the finale of the Impact Grand title to Aron Rex after he replaced the injured Drew Galloway.
The premiere episode of Total Bellas, titled The Cena House Rules, debuted with 632,000 viewers on E! last night. As a somewhat comparison, the season finale of Total Divas earlier this year ended with 625,000 viewers. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)
The Wyatt Family might have lost Erick Rowan to a shoulder injury but they have gained back Luke Harper, who has been out of action for several months.
Harper returned to his first in-ring match last night at a non-televised live event in Santiago, Chile, teaming up with Kevin Owens to take on Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn. Harper suffered a knee injury during a Raw dark match in March of this year and has been on the sidelines ever since.
This live event was a Raw show so it seems Harper, who was not drafted, will be joining Braun Strowman on the red brand.
As mentioned before, Cody Rhodes’ new deal with TNA will allow him to work only selected dates and it’s not an exclusive deal, meaning he can appear for other promotions while also appearing for TNA.
After appearing at Bound For Glory this past Sunday and then participating in the Monday and Tuesday Impact tapings that will air in the next few weeks, Cody wrote on Twitter that Tuesday was his “last day for now” with TNA. The former WWE Intercontinental champion is already in the United Kingdom to participate in a WCPW event.
“In all the noise I’ve been rather silent, now I want to say what a professional atmosphere it has been,” Cody wrote on Twitter. “Thank you for putting my name on the marquee and allowing me to play my music, my way.” Rhodes thanked Billy Corgan and Dixie Carter and all the men and women who he shared a locker room with over the past few days.
TNA is taping Impact with enough episodes to last through the end of 2016 so it will be a while till we see Cody in TNA again after the first couple of episodes finish airing.
TNA canceled today’s and tomorrow’s Impact tapings in Orlando, Florida due to Hurricane Matthew. The Category 4 hurricane is expected to reach Florida late tonight or early tomorrow and the state is bracing for a direct hit, with the Governor warning residents to evacuate.
Tapings were scheduled to go on till Saturday but due to the cancelation, TNA added another day of tapings on Sunday to make up for the lost days. On Saturday, TNA will tape starting at 6PM EST while on Sunday, there will be two shows, one starting at 1PM EST and one starting at 6PM EST.
TNA really had no say in the cancelation of tapings as Universal Studios Orlando will be closing the theme parks and CityWalk at 5PM today and everything will be closed tomorrow. Since the studio lot where TNA tapes is part of Universal, if the park is closed there is no way to hold shows.
Former World Heavyweight champion Bill Goldberg appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter last night during the Off The Top Rope segment with Jonathan Coachman to talk about the WWE 2K17 video game as well as a potential return to the ring.
Goldberg said it’s a big decision and he is going to talk to his family to figure out what he wants to do. He expressed his appreciation of all the fans that supported him throughout his career both in WCW and WWE.
Goldberg, now 49 years old, said that he’s not like Ric Flair where Flair, at 49, would still go out and do his character. “I don’t know what the odds are,” he said, referring to himself being nearly 50 and doing what Goldberg used to do back in the day. “But if anyone can do it, it would be me.”
The popular Superstar teased that he would need until the end of the year to decide, mentioning that his 10-year-old boy and his wife never saw him wrestle so it’s a big motivation for him to consider returning inside a WWE ring.
Goldberg added that since he left in 2004 he did not have a word with Vince McMahon. “At the end of the day, I’m sure that he and I will speak sometime soon. I owe him a thankful handshake for giving me the ability to do this,” he said.
Asked who would be on the top of his list if he decides to return, the answer was pretty much what everyone already knows. “I would be remiss in saying I don’t owe Brock Lesnar a rematch. I was able to prosper and have my hand raised at the first meeting, and I think if I ever came back, that’d be the match. I would have to work my ass off to get ready for him, but you never say never. I’ve said it for 12 years.”
Goldberg described Brock as “not even a human being” and as a “superhero alien guy” for his physique, strength, and agility. “But I don’t know, man, I beat him once.”
There’s a baby Bella coming in Spring 2017 as Brie Bella has confirmed to E! News that she and her husband Daniel Bryan are expecting their first child.
“It has always been a dream of mine to become a mother,” Brie told E! News. “Now that it is finally real, it fills me up with so much happiness.” The Smackdown General Manager was equally happy with the news. “The day we found out, I just couldn’t stop smiling. We are so excited to be parents. Every time I look at Brie’s stomach, I’m amazed that there is a little life in there.” The duo have no idea what the baby’s gender is.
Brie retired from her WWE in-ring duties at WrestleMania 32, getting one final win in a 10-Divas tag team match. Her retirement was long coming after Bryan also had retired earlier in the year. They had been trying to start a family for quite a while and Brie said that they’re really excited about this new chapter in their life.
This week’s Smackdown drew 2,316,000 viewers, down 24,000 viewers from last week’s show. Smackdown had stiffer competition this week from the Vice Presidential debate. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)
Jason Powell at ProWrestling.net is reporting that Erick Rowan underwent surgery yesterday in Birmingham, Alabama to repair a torn rotator cuff.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Jeffrey Dugas at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center. Dr. Dugas recently operated on former WWE Universal champion Finn Balor as well as John Cena, Cesaro, as well as Seth Rollins.
It is not clear when Rowan suffered the injury. He is expected to be out of action for up to six months. It’s not been the best year for the Wyatt Family as Luke Harper also had to undergo surgery on his knee in March, missing WrestleMania.
E! today announced that season six of Total Divas will be returning on Wednesday, November 16 at 8PM EST. The cast of season six features Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Eva Marie, Naomi, Natalya, Paige and newcomers Lana, Maryse, and Renee Young.
The new season will chronicle the journey of Nikki Bella as she trains to return to the ring following her neck surgery, Brie Bella’s retirement at WrestleMania 23, Nattie’s heel turn, Eva Marie’s continuing rollercoaster ride in the company, Paige’s injuries, Naomi’s first movie, as well as Maryse’s return to the WWE, Renee’s romance with Dean Ambrose and last but not least, the wedding of the season with Lana and Rusev.
Season five of the show was the lowest of the whole series in terms of viewership with only an average of around 720,000 viewers per episode over 14 episodes.
All the 16 tag teams which will take part in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament on NXT television and non-televised live events have been revealed.
The final two teams to join the tournament are Tony Nese and Drew Dulak and Sanity. The other 14 teams which were previously announced are Hideo Itami and Kota Ibushi, Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss, Bobby Roode and Tye Dillinger, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, Andrade “Cien” Almas and Cedric Alexander, The Revival, The Authors of Pain, TM-61, Niko Bogojevic and Tucker Knight, The Bollywood Boyz, HoHo Lun and Bin Wang, No Way Jose and Rich Swann, Lince Dorado and Mustafa Ali, Austin Aries and mystery partner.
The tournament kicks off on tonight’s episode of NXT on the WWE Network with Cedric Alexander and Andrade “Cien” Almas squaring off against The Revival in a first round match.
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament’s final will be held at NXT Takeover: Toronto next month during the Survivor Series weekend.
Total Bellas, the new reality TV series on E!, kicks off tonight at 8PM EST with the first episode titled The Cena House Rules.
The synopsis for the first episode reads, “In the series premiere, Brie and Bryan move into John Cena’s house to take care of Nikki after her surgery, but John’s strict house rules have the Bella family walking on eggshells to keep him happy.”
Total Bellas features the cast of Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, along with the family of the Bella Twins including their mother and her husband, WWE’s John Laurinaitis.
There will only be six one-hour episodes of Total Bellas as the cast is also involved in the shooting of Total Divas. Total Bellas is produced by WWE and Bunim-Murray Productions. Gil Goldschein, Jeff Jenkins and Russell Jay are Executive Producers for Bunim/Murray Productions. Kevin Dunn is Executive Producer for WWE.
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross wrote on Twitter that several sources have confirmed to him that Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg is a done deal for the Survivor Series this year.
Dave Meltzer at the Observer also adds that the rumors were that the deal was completed over the weekend for the two to meet for the second time next month in Toronto, 12 years after their disastrous encounter at WrestleMania XX in 2004.
Goldberg has not wrestled for the WWE since that match in Madison Square Garden and then had a big fallout with the company where things turned ugly. Things however got better over the years and Goldberg always expressed his desire to wrestle one more time in front of his son, who never saw him in the ring live.
Earlier this year 2K sort of facilitated the talks even more when they cut a deal with Goldberg to be the pre-order character for WWE 2K17 and the former World Heavyweight champion said several times to the media while promoting the game that if it were up to him, he’d be in a WWE ring one more time.
Goldberg will be appearing on ESPN’s SportsCenter tonight with Jonathan Coachman during the weekly WWE segment to promote WWE 2K17.

A rep for Halle Berry told TMZ.COM that the Academy Award winning actress never had sex with Ric Flair despite what Flair said on his latest podcast.
“There is NO truth to this! Halle has literally never even heard of him let alone met him,” the rep said. Berry was described as being “deeply offended” by Flair’s remarks. Flair said that Berry was one of the dozens of celebrities who “rode space mountain” years ago in Atlanta after she divorced David Justice.
“A man doesn’t get to sexualize and lie about a woman he’s never met to better himself or his name. It’s offensive, demeaning and beyond misogynistic,” the rep told TMZ.COM.
The two-time WWE Hall of Famer said that he doesn’t need to lie or make up a story when pressed during the show if the story was real.
The first match for the Raw-branded Hell In A Cell pay-per-view was announced last night on Raw and will feature Roman Reigns defend the United States title against Rusev.

There have been 33 previous Hell In A Cell matches in WWE history with The Undertaker having made the most appearances, 14 in total, with 8 victories. No one has won more HIAC matches than the Dead Man and Triple H comes second with 5 victories in 9 appearances.
The 2016 Hell In A Cell takes place from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on October 30.
