Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was named the top international box office star of 2015 with the movies he was part of bringing in a whooping $1.48 billion, beating other Hollywood A list movie stars such as Vin Diesel, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., and many others.

Johnson took the number 1 rank in 2013 thanks to Pain & Gain, GI Joe: Retaliation, and Fast & Furious 6 but in 2015, the Furious 7 and San Andreas movies catapulted him above anyone else. Vin Diesel came in second place with $1.25 billion.

Johnson’s Hollywood career started in 2001 when he filmed a small part in the The Mummy Returns, portraying The Scorpion King which eventually branched in its own movie.
