Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posted a rare reply on social media to an aggregated post by ClutchWrestling on Instagram who quoted something from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer who said that people in WWE were very “surprised” about the choice of language The Rock used in his tribute video to Pac.
Johnson described AEW as “growing into this phenomenal wrestling company,” and called AEW President Tony Khan his “friend.”
Reacting to the post, Johnson said that humanity matters to him and he was born in the business and seen it all.
“But when one of our own passes away, I don’t care nor do I see ‘our competition’, I care about the wrestlers and how it affects them,” Johnson responded. “I’ve been there. To me, humanity matters most.”
