Tony Khan to “keep an eye” on free agent Goldberg

Appearing on The Bet 98.5 in Las Vegas to promote tickets for the upcoming Double or Nothing pay-per-view, AEW President Tony Khan said that it was “interesting” to hear that the former champion is now a free agent and no longer under a WWE contract.

When the topic was brought up by host Adrian Hernandez, Khan said that he has a lot of respect for Goldberg and thinks he’s a great professional athlete.

“He’s a household name in pro wrestling, so it’s interesting to hear that he is a free agent so that’s something to follow. He’s one of the biggest names in wrestling and certainly will be something else to keep an eye on for us,” Khan said.

He added that it’s a “big thing” for them to pay attention to considering that Goldberg is an “exceptionally exciting name” and one of the biggest stars of this sport.

Khan said he has a lot of respect for him and got to know him through charitable ties in the city of Jacksonville.
