Tony Khan says there will be no hard roster split with Collision

Speaking to Brandon Walker of Barstool Rasslin’, AEW President Tony Khan said that while there will be certain wrestlers featured on Dynamite and Collision, there won’t be a “hard line” which would lock them in a roster split.

There were rumors that those who would be on Dynamite would not appear on Collision and vice versa, but unlike WWE, there are no multiple major titles which would make the split even harder.

“I think people are gonna be featured on certain shows, but I also think that gives us a great opportunity to showcase certain wrestlers on both Dynamite and Collision at certain times and certain stories that can cross the shows,” Khan explained.

“I think the champions of AEW will be the champions on every show, and frankly, every promotion in the world. We’re not shy about the AEW wrestlers going out and taking on the top stars and top competition from other companies,” he continued.

Khan said that they have a strong roster and many great wrestlers and three hours of TV – two on Dynamite and one on Rampage – weren’t enough to showcase everyone.

“Now, it’s a much better opportunity with five hours of television. Across five hours of television, we can really utilize the roster much more frequently and utilize our great wrestlers more than they’ve ever been used before, so I’m very excited,” Khan added.
