Tony Khan open to counter Saudi WrestleMania with another AEW show in the United States

Tony Khan is open to holding an event in April in the United States to counter-program WrestleMania being in Saudi Arabia.

Asked about the possibility during the post-Double or Nothing press conference, the AEW President said that it is potentially viable.

“And it’s a very interesting thought. We’ll have to see what happens in the world landscape between now and then, but it’s a very interesting possibility,” Khan responded.

Fans have been asking AEW to hold a stadium show in the United States during WrestleMania 43 week where other indie promotions could also hold ancillary events since WWE will be in Saudi Arabia, out of reach for many.

Usually, AEW has Dynasty on pay-per-view in April.
