New York State Athletic Commission prevents AEW from using blood during Stadium Stampede match

Matches such as Stadium Stampede or Anarchy in the Arena usually have one common factor: blood.

But much to the surprise of everyone, the Stadium Stampede match last night at Double or Nothing did not feature any color, nor did any of the 14 AEW stars involved in the match end up fighting among the faithful crowd.

Bryan Alvarez of Figure 4 reported that the New York State Athletic Commission did not approve the use of blood so AEW had to agree to their condition.

The NYSAC administratively enforces the laws, rules and regulations pertaining to combative sports, including mixed martial arts and professional wrestling in the state of New York and regulates all shows and fights/matches.

Jericho, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Kenny Omega, “Jungle” Jack Perry, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson defeated Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona, Mark Davis, Andrade El Idolo, Clark Connors, and David Finlay in the Stadium Stampede match.
