Eight-man tournament to determine new #1 contender for AEW World title

AEW announced an eight-man tournament which will determine the number one contender for the AEW World title.

The winner of this tournament will then battle whoever the champion will be – either Jon Moxley or Lance Archer – at the upcoming November pay-per-view Full Gear.

The first three individuals who will be in the tournament were announced on Dynamite last night and they are Kenny Omega, Jungle Boy, and Fenix. Matches will take place on Dynamite.

Moxley will be defending the AEW World title against Lance Archer on the October 14 episode of Dynamite which is being billed as the first anniversary show.
