CM Punk announced for Starrcast III in Chicago during All Out weekend

Get your “CM Punk” chants ready as the former WWE champion has agreed to appear at Starrcast III next month during the All Out weekend in Chicago.

Sports Illustrated was first to report the story today in what is a major coup for Conrad Thompson and his Starrcast event. Punk will be the subject of a one-on-one interview on Saturday, August 31 and will be doing meet and greets.

“He’s straight edge. He’s controversial. He’s a former Heavyweight Champion. He’s “The Best in the World” & he’ll have a live mic at Starrcast! Starrcast is honored to welcome CM Punk to Chicago, Labor Day weekend,” the Twitter account of Starrcast posted after news came out.

So far, Punk’s involvement that weekend is only for Starrcast and AEW is not advertising him to be at All Out.

“Knowing the weekend will be attracting fans from all over the world for AEW, and since I normally only do one signing a year, it’s a great way to maybe meet people that normally I wouldn’t get the chance to otherwise,” Punk told Sports Illustrated. “Looking forward to meeting everyone there.”

Apart from a signing at Pro Wrestling Tees last year during the All In weekend, Punk has largely stayed out of anything remotely associated with professional wrestling ever since he quit WWE several years ago.

Tickets for Platinum and Gold bracelets are available now at starrcast.com.
