A major NXT title match was announced for this Wednesday’s special edition of NXT.

After Grayson Waller retained the NXT title following a victory against Tony D’Angelo at Halloween Havoc, Danhausen informed Waller that a friend of his had a message for him.

CM Punk appeared via video and told Waller that he will be meeting him for the NXT title on Wednesday night.

Punk played off Waller’s previous dig that he would need permission to enter “his house,” telling Waller that if NXT was his house, he’s the landlord, and come Wednesday, rent is due!

This episode of NXT will go head-to-head with AEW’s Blood & Guts Dynamite after the show was moved a day later due to the mid-term elections in the United States on Tuesday.
