AEW President Tony Khan in heel-ish “paid ad” segment on Impact Wrestling

AEW President Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone appeared once again on Impact Wrestling yesterday in another “paid ad” segment.

Khan, sporting a goofy 2021 sunglasses, played the heel and congratulated Impact on having a great year, especially thanks to his paid ads and revenues from him. He said that Kenny Omega graced their show with his presence and brought along with him the greatest title in professional wrestling and then asked Tony to “tell them how it’s done” when running the card for tonight’s Dynamite.

“Did you know that Brian Cage was an Impact Wrestling champion?” Khan asked Schiavone. “Yes, I did,” Schiavone replied. “I’m genuinely surprised, I didn’t expect you to know that,” Khan shot back, saying that Cage will get the “biggest opportunity of his career” tonight on Dynamite, a clear dig at the Impact World title.

Speaking of digs, the duo signed off with another zinger at The Good Brothers. “I’m not so sure what’s so good about them,” Khan wondered, although he invited them, Don Callis, or anyone else to show up on Dynamite.
