WWE cuts out women’s match from Smackdown

A women’s tag team match was cut from the show last night according to Post Wrestling’s John Pollock.

The match, featuring Carmella and Zelina Vega versus Toni Storm and Liv Morgan, was canned due to timing issues. Vega in particular was looking forward to wrestle on the show as her father died in the World Trade Center during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

On Twitter, Vega posted photos of her amazing ring gear that she was going to sport and wrote “nevermind.” Both Carmella and Liv Morgan tweeted “…” in their reaction to their match getting bumped.

This was the second week in a row that there was no women’s matches on Smackdown.
