WWE announces the 1,000th episode of Smackdown for October 16

WWE today announced that the historic 1,000th episode of Smackdown Live will take place from the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC on Tuesday, October 16.

“1,000 episodes is a tremendous milestone reinforcing the longevity and popularity of WWE,” said Vince McMahon, WWE Chairman and CEO. “But it’s only the beginning, and the best is yet to come for Smackdown.”

Tickets are available starting this Friday, August 17 at 10AM EST at the Capital One Arena box office, via www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

It will surely be a special night for the blue brand with some surprises and returns lined up for the show. WWE has not revealed anything about the episode so far but if it’s anything like the Raw anniversary episodes, WWE fans are in for a good night!
