Triple H talked about Edge leaving WWE in one of the final questions asked at the post-Fastlane press conference yesterday night.

“The time was right for him, the time was right for us,” Triple H said about his departure, noting that WWE gave him an amazing send off and agreed with Copeland that he was right in his thought that they somewhat outgrew each other after 25 years.

“I wish him the best, no animosity, he’s doing what’s right for him and his family,” he continued, saying that he sent him a text message after he made his AEW debut telling him that he’s happy and proud of him.

“If someone feels a different opportunity is better for them, great,” Triple H said, adding that the machine doesn’t stop for anyone and they will continue to do what they do.

He said that Edge leaving creates another opportunity to fill his role and there’s a huge line of people way more than capable ready to take that spot.
