MJF will make his New Japan Pro-Wrestling debut at Wrestle Kingdom 21 in January and will take on Ryohei Oiwa.
The former AEW champion once again appeared via video during the NJPW Power Struggle 2026 event and challenged Oiwa at NJPW’s biggest event of the year.
“If you choose to accept my challenge, I will beat you in the middle of the ring, in the middle of that crappy little Tokyo Dome, with a move that is as simple as a headlock takeover,” MJF told Oiwa.
The NJPW star accepted the challenge after the video aired.
Oiwa won the G1 Climax tournament this year using the headlock takeover.
WrestleKingdom 21 takes place on Monday, January 4 live from the Tokyo Dome.
