Adam Copeland said that he would take last night “to the grave” with him after finally making his Arena Mexico debut with AEW.
The current AEW Tag Team title holder has not wrestled in Mexico in 18 years but managed to do that last night with his tag team partner Christian Cage and The Young Bucks to take on the Death Riders in an eight-man tag match.
“What. A. Night. Finally, finally after 34 years I was privileged to step into The Wrestling Cathedral. Arena Mexico,” he wrote in a post on Instagram. “And man, Mexico you did not disappoint. I felt the vibrations in my bones when I came out.”
He said performing at Arena Mexico was the perfect way to cap off his love affair with Lucha Libre and the country of Mexico.
“I’ll take last night to the grave with me. Gracias Mexico,” he concluded.
