Taya Valkyrie signs with WWE

PWInsider.com is reporting that Taya Valkyrie, the former Impact Knockouts champion, has signed with WWE.

The 37-year-old British Columbia native departed Impact Wrestling last month after she was revealed as the person who shot John E. Bravo, bringing an end to the angle and also effectively writing her off television following her arrest. Tommy Dreamer, who was part of her final segment, took a dig at both AEW and WWE, wondering if she was going to be taken to the Jacksonville Penitentiary or to the Stamford Prison, where she would be jailed for two years with an option to extend for a third year!

Valkyrie is the longest-reigning Impact Knockouts champion in the history of the promotion, keeping it for 377 days. Apart from Impact, she also wrestled in Mexico and for Lucha Underground. In 2011, she signed a WWE developmental deal but never made her debut for the company and left that same year to continue her indie dates.

Valkyrie is married to WWE Superstar John Morrison.
