Stars from WWE and AEW praise Banks/Belair main event

Stars from literally every major promotion congratulated Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks for a fantastic WrestleMania 37 night one main event.

It was the first time that two African Americans, be it men or women, main evented WrestleMania and the weight of that history was clearly evident on the faces of both Belair and Banks, with Belair bursting into tears before the match even started.

But regaining her composure and led by another great performance by Sasha Banks, the two went through the motions and gave fans an excellent match with an excellent finish.

Charlotte Flair, Carmella, The Bella Twins, Io Shirai, Becky Lynch, Mandy Rose, Ember Moon, Mia Yim, and many others from WWE tweeted their congratulations to the duo while stars from AEW like Jade Cargill, Nyla Rose, and Big Swole joined in as well.

The men also showed their appreciation, including those from AEW, who showered Bianca and Sasha with high praises for their match.

The match did have a commentary botch at the end when Michael Cole thought Sasha kicked out of the finisher but was promptly corrected by his colleagues.

At one point, Belair whipped Sasha with her hair so hard and it was so loud that the noise vibrated throughout the whole stadium with fans jumping from their seat. The move led to the finish with Bianca hitting the KOD on Banks for the pinfall. After the match, Banks showed off the laceration from the whip as she sold the finish outside.
