Spoilers: NXT Takeover: New Orleans main event announced

NXT Takeover: New Orleans is still two months away but the main event for the show, which will take place at the Smoothie King Center, was announced during last night’s television tapings in Atlanta.

The show with the announcement will air in several weeks’ time on the WWE Network but if you don’t want to wait till then, the main event will be NXT champion Andrade “Cien” Almas taking on number one contender Aleister Black.

Black won big at the NXT Year-End awards and his popularity has been steadily rising ever since the Dutch made his NXT debut in mid-2016. While Almas has been in NXT for around seven months longer, he catapulted to the main event picture at NXT Takeover: WarGames and won the title against Drew McIntyre. This will be Almas’ third Takeover show in the main event.
